Bagboy Lyrics:
I had a bad reaction to your public hobby writings
I get no satisfaction from your very recent sightings
Cover your breath
Cover your teeth
Cover your breath
Polish your speech
Like when I hear the sound of feet slapping on the runway
Like a small bird pretty while it's crapping on the new day
Cover your breath
Polish your speech
Cover your breath
Polish your teeth
So disappointed I was that I had made small talk with you
I'm not feeling your buzz I only smell your crock of stew
Polish your teeth
Alter your breath
Alter your teeth
Cover your breath
Bag boy bag boy bag boy bag boy
She had some beauty and manners but you look like a bug
Migrations of their type are such good planners and not smug
Cover your breath
Alter your speech
Cover your breath
Alter your speech
Bag boy bag boy bag boy bag boy
You are proselytizing alone
Listening to the voice with your ears
You have regurgitated the tone
Now sat in your tract for many years
Picked up from dead things that you licked
It's a feedback loop you can't evict
Cover your breath
Cover your teeth
Cover your breath
Polish your speech
Cover your breath
Polish your speech
Cover your breath
Polish your teeth

I have followed the Pixies from when the UK had ears to hear them, since their their basic harmonies served as conduits of raw feeling that made them so new and exciting, beyond the popular smooth 80's produced sound of the time. This is an evolution of the sound and I love it. Please continue for as long as you can take on a stage.

Listen to how awesome Joey's guitar playing is. The notes sound restless, like they are being held in place against their will. His sound is essential to the Pixies.

It seems that the so-called music cognoscenti don't much like the tunes, either. In all fairness to the band, people still seem to fork out $$ to see a 'Pixies minus Kim' gig. So if Charles etc. want to milk it dry, that's their prerogative. As Charles himself said a while back, he made art back in the old days, days that apparently weren't so lucrative, so now he's in it for the money. But, I think the new material, while defintely an attempt to maximize income, is as much a boredom killer for Charles. I remember him saying that he was getting sick of playing all the old stuff. I have adored this band for over 25 years, waiting till 2007 to see them live for the first time (Australia is often overlooked). It was magical. I saw them again a couple times in 2010 and while it could never match the first time, the magic was still there. As much as I love 'em & wish 'em well, I'm too selfish to risk the shine being stripped away by seeing them without Kim. Charles is an amazing songwriter, but it was Kim and her permanent smile that tipped a live show into a a big river of noisy joyous magic.

Nx Doyle Yeah I can see what you mean. I'm going to see them for the first time in June, without Kim but with Paz. I really liked Zwan so it's cool to get a chance to see her play. But yeah, I can understand that seeing the band without Kim could break the spell. I'm just glad I'm getting the opportunity to hear the songs that I love live. :)

***** All things considered..I saw them in 2007, again in 2010. And in a months time at the Sydney Opera house- 2 shows. Sure Kim was part of the band, but i don't give a fuck, they still rock. And if you must compare to the earlier albums, then you clearly arent listening to the new stuff. Its the same band, kim's imput was pretty minimal anyway- that's why she started The Breeders..

I think music videos aren't really appreciated very much anymore. People listen to music as a soundtrack to other things: a visual TV channel that just plays music isn't really necessary when you can send it to the background while you check facebook.

The negative comments remind me when Tromple Le Monde was released. "This is not Pixies", "Pixies are dead",... After a while the same people said the album was one of their best, it had remarkable songs, and so on and so on. People, enjoy this album and remember this: PIxies are back. This is the most important.

They are making the music they wanna make. They don't make music JUST for the fans and the fame. They make the music that appeals to them. So let them make their music and if you dont like it then don't take part in it, dont listen to it. Don't make comments about it if you just absoloutley hate it. This is what they are now. What do you want them to do? Play "Where Is My Mind" and "Gigantic" for a whole LPs worth of time? I don't (those are amazing songs that we all love but I dont want recycled shit. I like that they have the confidence to put new music out even though its been years since they've put anything out before this).

I honestly reckon if there was no previous Pixies history.. everybody would be calling Indie Cindy a masterpiece. Different production..yes..but still better writing than anybody out there today. After a good few listens the same applies to Head Carrier. Frank Blank worlds ahead in songwriting since John Lennon.

I've listened to this song 5 times on full blast - it's a BEAST. It's everything a new Pixies song should be: Lovering's drums are kicking hard, Santiago's guitar is as raw and visceral as ever, Frank's lyrics are poetic and disturbing, and if that's not Kim, it's a damn great impression!

Let's all just get over the fact that they aren't going to make a better album than Doolittle or Surfer Rosa. They just aren't. Just like SP won't make a better album than Siamese Dream or Mellon Collie, and Dinosaur Jr. won't make a better album than You're Living All Over Me. etc etc. Stop living in the past and embrace the future. Let them evolve and experiment and try new things. That's the reason they found success in the first place. Keep rockin' Pixies.

Awesome album, awesome comeback. Indie Cindy, in its entirety, shows once again the amazing variety and elements of surprise this band can put out. It's like at the beginning of every song you just have no clue where you'll end up. A lot of people give out negative comments for this particular songs, and at first it certainly seems like it's one of the weaker Pixies-songs out there. However, what's Pixies if not exploring and extending the la la land of music, and in the process challenge the listeners as well, hopefully expanding our minds a little bit further - and without heavy duty drugs! Thank you for the album guys! In my honest opinion, it stands in line perfectly with the earlier recordings, not going against what has been before, but adding to it. Me likes.

Kim's contributions are so overestimated. She wrote "Gigantic" and did a stunning duet with Francis on "Winterlong", other than that, I find a lot of her output just OK. Pixies have been Black Francis' band and Kim, while very talented as proven by The Breeders, became part of the bands image, rather than a creative aspect. Personally, I'm excited to see Kim Shattuck join the band, as she's one of the most underrated female voices in rock.

I'll bet Frank Black secret hates most of you. Consider this: he put out 15+ records worth of solo material that without a doubt includes the best songs of his career (while the Pixies put out only 4 records in comparison). He put out a constant flood of well-crafted music and supported his records with continual touring. These songs were a continuation of his earlier work, and they are significantly better. During his years away from the Pixies, he played tiny clubs, small venues, and even high school gymnasiums! He even enlisted David Lovering and Joey Santiago at various points, and--after a while--he even began playing Pixies' songs at his shows. Still, fair-weather fans refused to support him. Self-absorbed "fans" needed the Pixies' name attached to the songs in order to give them the time of day. Yes, I'm sure that Frank Black hates you as you stand out in the audience screaming "Debaser!" He hates you so much that he was willing to resurrect the name "Pixies" all so that he could pull off the greatest cash-grab in musical history. You think he likes playing the same 60 songs over and over when he's written well over 200+? Don't dilute yourselves. You're a cash-cow, and Franky-Boy is capitalizing on your stupidity. These new songs are a rung lower than even Cult of Ray, but what does it matter when suckers like you were born to buy into the hype? If Frank Black should ever read this, do us real fans a favor and come play us a show of your solo material. We're out here waiting!

they were way ahead of their time dude, and thats a good thing. the clash might have sounded better if they made music today, but that doesnt change the fact that they did well in the 70s and were ahead of their time, same with the pixies.

They could have been huge if Kim and Frank got along in the early 90's. They broke up right when they were about to hit it big.

oh come on, when artists spend like 20 years playing the same kind of stuff, people complain. When they change, people complain too!! grow the fuck up, if you dont like this, listen to something else.

The track was recorded in the fall. If that's not Kim in a parting gift to us before she left the band, then it's a pretty darn good impersonation.
