It's always great to see one of the most seminal rock bands continuing to walk the line between evolving through time and staying true to their unique style. This captures the spirit of what always made Pixies stand out. It evokes Bossa Nova for me. Classic yet original, brilliant 😃

@@johnmarese1310 I'm sure plenty of folks could say the same... She was a seminal part of carving out their legacy. But she's gone on to do great things on her own, and so has the band moved on. Paz is a great musician as well, I say give her a warm welcome... Plus she also brings a violin to the table 😉

The Smelly Soap a weird one. It is just ‘’pixies’ - but the vast, vast majority of people have always said ‘The Pixies’ since the late 80s.

The Pixies really nailed it with this sound. Reminiscent of the punk-style of Bossanova, but with a touch of Doolittle. I hope their new album keeps this sound

@@DavosSeaworth Division Bell by Pink Floyd is one of their later albums which really dug into their classic feel, most of Gilmore's work this last decade has a lot of Floyd feel to it. Bowie's last album was literally a homage to his life, death and career.
