"I believe in Miki Dora "Da Cat", I believe in Whitey, Greenough and Nat" For those that don't know these are references to famous surfers from 50,60,70's era many very innovative in design influence on surfboards or surfing. I just wish people would pick up on “How I Learned To Earn Rewards” and “I Just Can’t Break It To You”, two of the best songs , IMHO, on the new disc.

Pixies is like no other band, it gets better over time like a fine wine, it's so original when it comes to music approach, chord progressions, harmonics, bass lines, vocals, melodic lines, a little bit of cacophony, everything makes this band so valuable and unique, and the songs still keep playing in your head even when the HIFI is off. That's why I love this band! Thank you and keep creating valuable music! You're true stars!

such a good question... a real loud alt rock band that plays their own music... it's lost on this world as it was in the 80s. *shrug*

Because apparently there are some Pixies fans who feel like they shouldn't write any more music. Some bands start to suck after a while. The band Korn is barely recognizable anymore. Even the band Modest Mouse isnt as good as they used to be. But Pixies are just as good as they always have been, if not better.

Honestly never gave this song any attention, but it sounds amazing. There are melodies happening here that rival any other great song especially when the guitar kicks in.

Love the 1-2 punch of 'Long Rider' & 'Los Surfers Muertos' on the Album. Pity we only got 'Los Surfers Muertos' in Dublin, even though it was superb version. Great contribution from Paz, in collaboration with Charles.

@@waltermanhead2249 You hate it? More, you capital H.A.T.E. it? I've never hated a Pixies song. To be honest, I've spent exactly zero seconds of the last 30 years placing Pixies songs on a sliding scale. Sure, I love some more than others, but the idea of hating a Pixies song in capital letters is totally foreign to me. And that's _beyond_ the fact that I'm eternally grateful for everything after 1991 on the basis that it's a beautiful bonus.

@@NxDoyle I just think the song is a missed opportunity. Does it suck? It gets suck-ier the longer it goes on. The 'Los Surfers' song is unlistenable... a few real duds on the latest. As said, three good songs at the start- that's it.

@Fox David Gilmour said (tongue in cheek) that "bass players are ten a penny aren't they?" after Roger Waters left Pink Floyd but Kim's vocals were a big part of Pixies sound and that component is still missing.
