So good. Pat O'Brien, Edward Arnold, and Broderick Crawford. And Eve Arden being... Eve Arden. I thought I was in for a film noir not a comedy. I love the very ending. Way ahead of its time.

The dialogue was amazing! Funny, suspenseful, silly , thrilling and great acting. Even that young girl pulled off an amazing character.

I like the old movie stars best.

2023 September 7th. I just hoped to run in to a good old movie. A thriller, possible...maybe... So I started watching and IT WAS FUN‼️ Real fun💯. And what made me LOL was how "this guy" told him how easy it was for him to open a safe...😂. I won't tell, maybe there's someone who's still going to watch the movie. 😉 But, as for me, I had a fun time relaxing this way, thanks 💯💐 I endorse this movie 👀‼️🎯 Since we're so close to the election-year.. !!! 😄👍 Say, God bless 💝 and be sure to have a nice day 🌤️. 💖 ~ 😎😎😎 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕 The dry-comic one-liners left & right in this strange comedy-noir movie totally MAKE it!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 LUVVVED this - twice, so far!!! "Call me tomorrow, Peter, I know a good dentist." Lawyer nonchalantly says B4 fist-slamming the dude in the mouth. 💕 Jerk ex-boyfriend with clenched teeth wants to have a "heart-to-heart" with beauty. "What would YOU use?" she burnz him with as she leaves. 😏👌 Recurring - 1st part of verbiage slightly changing, except for the 🥁 rimshots - retorts by mad 18 yo luv-struck girl to lawyer, "Don't come crawling back to ME - (🥁) on your hands & feet!" (That didn't register in my brain right away ... then delayed laffz hit me as a Neanderthal came to mind, but ... really don't think she intended that image at all, which made her E-VON funnier - lol!) 🤣🤣🤣 Sooo many funny one-liners dotted throughout the movie - don't wanna E-VON attempt to count 'em all. They realllyyyyyy don't write & make movies this good, anymore. Not by a longshot. 🦇 The bats in the graveyard were a niiice olden-days' special effect. Hate bats - had a ginormous cottonwood tree in the yard when I was a little girl that lotza bats lived in ... sometimes they flew into the house via kids leaving doors open, then total chaos & screaming freak-outs ensued by four girls & a mom wildly swinging the kitchen broom around in the living room air wacking at the bats & screeeaming to us to cover our heads with newspapers or the bats' claws would get tangled-up in our hair. 🦇 🤯 Good times - lol (Just now dawned on me - was never bitten one time in my yard by mosquitos, & we lived by the lake & a creek with lotza breeding grounds, cuz the bats ate 'em all!!! Menowthinkz lotza homes had cottonwoods cuz was never bitten anywhere in that town for 18 years ... as an adult, moved to a big city with NO lake, nor creek, & had lotza mosquitos & lotza bites ... then learned why ... no bats to eat 'em! And, chemical planes have to kill the mosquitos now & then, instead, & in two cities I lived the streets & yards were full of poisoned Monarch butterflies & other good insects, too.😿) Barely awake ... babbling. Zanny movie! Covered the whole panoply of the times! The fight at the end (the chair and the knife in the back) was unexpected! The babes were gorgeous! I'll give this 2 Pizza Slices and 🍺🍺! Bring on Friday!

Looky there - - Broderick Crawford Bad Guy ! Oh but I still got faith in the Highway Patrol ! I remember seeing William Talman (Hamilton Burger) playing the bad guy too - But that doesn't seem so out of character - He always kinda looked like the bad guy when he was scowling at Perry's zippy courtroom tactics !

I can't imagine using the nickname that Pat Obrien ,was using to that young lady. That name would be so offensive in today's society. (2023)

one of the dumbest plot lines ever but entertaining.

I clicked on this because the photo looks a lot like Hunter Biden, and with the title lol

I guess you ran out of space to run the entire movie. Let’s see, you cut out the title and opening credits and possibly the first few words of the dialogue of the movie. Then you ran the video but not the audio of Shirley Temple in her song/dance performance. Then you cut out the very last few words of the last and essential scene of the movie. But of course you managed to interrupt the dramatic flow of the movie near the end by plastering ads for other movies across the screen when I was trying to focus on the present movie. Thanks for the very disappointing presentation of an otherwise good film. In the future, I must try not to attempt to watch movies you present.
