Yeah I love that part 'cause I think of it every time I watch Star Trek. The Federation talk like they don't even have an economy because they have infinite resources but then couldn't they just fabricate a million billion capital ships in a day? If not then why not? What's the limiting factor? If there is a limiting factor then isn't *that* the economy then?

9:45 Actually yes as far as Voyager is concerned as it demonstrates that on their journey they cannot rely on the replicator to create unlimited supplies they actually have to acquire food as the replicator drains power very heavily.
