I must confess, for a long time I didn’t watch your videos. I thought you were so far advanced from my humble beginnings. But then I realized, how would I ever gain knowledge and confidence if I didn’t learn from one of the best mixed media artists out there. My style is different, but still oddly the same. Someone who believes you are ruining your piece with splatters is not very creative or artistic. Being creative opens your mind and I believe it makes you more open to other peoples ideas and processes. “You do you” and “I’ll do me” is the mantra of true creatives! I am so happy that you are so determined to keep doing you. And you are correct. Tastes are different. That is what makes the world interesting. I was taught to say nothing rather than saying something negative. So. Having said that, I personally want to challenge this person who critized you, to show their work, so that we can see if she has what it takes to be such an "expert".

This November kit is so cozy feeling just like Autumn should be. I was wondering if I had time to throw together a journal to take on a trip tomorrow but this reminds me that it can be simple with the decorations to come as I go. I guess some people can't follow the always good advice from the movie Bambi - If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. I love your gold splatters. I'm too chicken to do black but I do gold, silver, and some colors and I love them. The most perfect thing about junk journaling is that there are no rules. You do you and others can worry about themselves.

I too am sorry that someone was so rude to you, I love how you do you, that's what makes your channel so enjoyable. I have a motto, treat everyone and everything with dignity, compassion and respect, I think particularly these days it appears there's some people just don't know how to do that. Splatters are so much fun, super relaxing, and gold splatters for me are the best.

When the cream rises to the top some ignorant fly just has to land on it! The number of true fans you have GREATLY outweigh the haters. I do like when KZfaqrs address the ignorant comments on a subsequent video, it’s a reminder that creators are human beings with feelings! I’m sorry that someone was so harsh! I agree with you that it is amazing that we are so unique and I wish more people wanted to celebrate each other instead of tearing each other down. As far as splatters go I personally never use them but I always feel my work needs to be taken to the next level but could never figure out how. Then a couple weeks ago watching one of your videos it occurred to me that maybe splatters are just what I need!! Splatters and fairy lights are just what I need in my life🤣🤣 I really hope you have an amazing day and don’t let people get you down because you are such an amazing person and artist!!!❤❤❤❤

So sorry Barbara that someone felt the need to voice criticism that was definitely not constructive. Everyone's idea of beauty in art is different and that is how it should be. Hi Barbara, your November kit is so beautiful. I love how quick & easy this came together. I am so sorry that person found it necessary to say such an abrasive comment. That was very rude. Art is about expressing ourselves & everyone has their own style ideas & preferences. I have just found splatters through Joie de fie & find them fun. They seem to really enhance to me

Honey, the splatters are your style (and mine)! My husband was in the room and heard this and he said - "what did she say??" when I told him, he couldn't believe someone would make a comment like that! He said "it's HER art!" I watched this video early yesterday morning. I haven’t gone to bed yet so it feels like I watched it today. Lol. I love the hole in the middle of the Fast Flow Sewing that Luise inspired you to try! So fun!! I love the 2 envelopes that open up and down also. And closed with a paperclip. My sleep has been so weird lately, I’m rewatching this episode and so much of it feels brand new to me. So I must have had a nap. All I can do is say, YAY!! You get a 2 count of videos watched from me. Lol. Also, as I close here, I love your splatters. Gold especially. One of the things I love the most about them is when a huge blob drops off your brush. You say, Oh no! I didn’t want that to happen! So you dab a bit with a paper towel. You show us what happens if there’s a oops! Not the end of the world. It gives us permission to play and have fun creating. There’s no errors in playing!!♥️♥️♥️

It always amazes me how some people are watching your, free videos, every time and still think they have a right to criticize you are beautiful works of art. I personally think they are just jealous. Don't let anyone make you change what you are doing beautifully already. Your number of subbies should tell you how many people actually love what you do. If the other people want to criticize you should send them a message telling them thank you for their input but you like what you do the way you do it and then block them. 🐞 Namaste 🥰

Dear Barbara, l am so sorry that you had to put up with that rude comment. I know how that feels but let's just hope that that person sees your splatters differently one day and that your art becomes her inspiration. That would be the best outcome but whatever, her loss for the moment. You're doing a great job....... Jenny 🌹
