Oh Barbara, I couldn’t stop giggling, not at you but, with you! I knew that purple spray was going to be a disaster, and it was! I just hate my sprays, they need to spray like a mist but they are like a rain storm! You rock at saving the day, so encouraging for your viewers because we all have those micro-disasters. I watched this 2 times. Lol. Once at my sons house. Too much chaos all around me. So I watched it again now that I’m home. You’re on your vacation with your hubby right now (I think). I’m so glad you got to get away and with your favorite person. Sounds like your ankle is trying to heal too! Yay!! I feel so much better about my oopses when I see how you try to fix yours. And I love the fact that even if we make a mistake, we can glue something over it. I love watching you turn your pages. I love the way when we use paint, coffee dyes, glues, etc, the papers change the feel of them. They become crunchy or harder, stiff. It’s just fun to me that even just watching you turn pages, makes my love of paper happy. Lol. Hope you had fun on your holiday (vacation? Days away?)! Lol

🤣🤣 “this is a train wreck”. I laughed so hard,. What we love about you is that you can laugh as you goof up., I’m sure you get frustrated like we all do, but thanks for not editing those out. We all have those days. All in all your July pages turned out wonderful. I’m so glad your going on a holiday and can spend time with your hubby. Enjoy every minute of it. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Oh Barbara, I can really feel those struggles. My whole week has been a bit like that. Fortunately, I didn't take on any projects this week that would be heartbreaking to mess up - I don't think I could take the pain of messing up my portrait of my horse that I sold last month, so I'm super glad I decided not to try work on that some more. Your book reviews in your journal, as well as a chance meeting with some book blind dates (books wrapped in plain brown paper with only the genre to guide you as to what it could be) have inspired me to start a journal specifically for book reviews, so I want to thank you for inspiring me. I hope you're enjoying your holiday, and your time with your husband.

I giggled a lot while I was watching this. It was a lot like the last card I made. Tried something, went wrong, tried something else instead, learned yet one more thing I shouldn't do, took a break, started fresh. You just keep on until something works. It's all part of the...uh...fun? :D

I think you need to spray further away and with confidence. By spraying slowly you get drips instead of mist. cover the part of the page you do not want sprayed with another piece of paper. You can do all the edges with one confident spray from further back and a smaller piece of paper covering your middle portion. Further back please give it a try. It is hard to watch you basically pour water or de onto your lovely printable.

Deine Seiten sind, wie immer, super schön geworden. Ich habe die Sprays noch nie mit Schablonen benutzt, hab mich nicht getraut und bin gerade echt froh, dass ich’s nicht gemacht hab 🤭. Ich denke, dafür sind sie echt nicht gut genug dosierbar… Super finde ich, dass du nicht aufgegeben hast und einfach weiter rumprobiert hast 💚. You need to read A Terrible, Horrible No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst. It’s a cute children’s book, but I think you will really relate to the main character! Barbara: a bit of a struggle today. No big deal. When this happens to me, I stop what I’m doing, move away from the project, and do something completely different. Then go back to it in about an hour and start working. on it again. It works for me. Carol from California

Oh , dear Barbara, how I relate, but as always, you hung in there and all you did turned out wonderful. One suggestion with the sprays, try holding them farther away. Those little bottles spray out such a large amount that it floods the stencils. Enjoy your well deserved vacation and stay well! ❤️🤗😘💕🥂🍾

Oh, Barbara! Rough day at the craft table for you but I learned not to use sprays on top of a design I want to keep! You are always teaching us. (I also think I heard Luise yelling "stop!") The new printables are beautiful. Just right for mid-summer. I hope you're having a great vacation!

Barbara, I've found that these oxyde (or other) sprays are very difficult to control, they DO disperse way more and farther than we usually want... So, I wouldn't spray them directly onto a stencil but rather spray them on a palette of some kind (I use the lids of used plastic butter pots :-) ) then dab some sponge or brush/etc onto the liquid and apply to the stencil... I actually thought that some of your saves (like using the bright colors) were really a good idea and looked great...

Thank you for the book review, I love to get recommendations for reading. I have just finished "Where the Crawdads Sing" by Delia Owens. It's a story set in the Carolina swampland about a young girl and herfamily. Very atmospheric, by someone who obviously loves the natural world. I would give it 5 stars, if you are looking for something to read I would thoroughly recommend it.

I just read this post this morning. I’m watching stuff on KZfaq and BAM!! A commercial for the movie, “Where the Crawdads Sing” comes on. Wow, that never happens. Lol. The movie trailer looks really good and we all know, the book is usually better. I’m gonna have to look into this too!

I read Then She Was Gone first and loved it so much I got The Night She Disappeared and just finished it, they were both sooo good!! I have not read The Family Upstairs but now I'm definitely going to!! If you like thrillers try The Shadow House by Anna Downes, The Murder House by James Patterson, Cross Justice and Fear No Evil also by James Patterson. I love thriller/ mystery books lol. I also love your work Barbara and it's good to see that not everyone has a great day. I really like that you leave your mistakes in and still keep going, showing that it's not always perfect but you can still make a beautiful work of art.

Perhaps you could use an eye dropper or pipette to get the drops of water you want.

Wow well done with your walking! Fingers crossed all is well with it now. Ooh, on holiday and seeing your Mr! Oh I hope you're having a wonderful time sweetheart! Super pretty wild flower kit 😍. I just love matt photo paper but there's times when a faded look is needed. I can recommend Koala brand for those in U.K.. It's my go to. Yeah I never use my trimmer now 🙈. Ooh a new journal! Lol I can never spray like Luise 🙈 I have to flick for spots. It looks good honey 😁. LOVE that purple, especially with teal or orange. Spraying is so hard..🙈. I'm having one of those years 😄😄😄. I love Lisa Jewell......make sure you read The Family Upstairs and the book Then She Was Gone. Her books keep you wondering and you're so right, the twists and turns keep it where you can't put the book down. I'll have to grab this one, haven't read it yet. Thanks so much for the review.
