I’m really lucky to live near Longleat, where they have the only Koalas in Europe. They are the cutest bundles of fluff I ever saw.

FUN FACT: red kangaroos and koalas are both marsupials. I love that Planet Zoo have created an animation with the joeys coming out of the mother’s pouch. When most marsupials are born, they actually climb into the pouch. They spend their first stages of life and development in there as they are underdeveloped at birth, e.g. they are blind and have no fur, among other things. When they are developed, they climb out of the pouch. As an Australian, I am incredibly excited about this pack. It honestly feels like home to me. It’s great to have our beautiful land represented, not just through the animals but also through the art styles. Thank you Lady for giving such a detailed overview. Love you and your videos! Xx

Lady if you like koalas and ever visit Australia then absolutely come to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane, largest amount of captive koalas anywhere in the world and you can hold them and get right up close to them. There is also a massive lawn with tons of kangaroos to feed and pat as well. There are also a few emus that you are free to feed, but they’re a little scary hahahha

@18:14 The best part about this pack I'm so lowkey excited for those fence, the new posts, the sheets of particle board, the new planks, and even the metal roof is a lot similar to what I would consider American Style pieces which really helps me in my recreation of a realistic American Zoo! :D I also really dig the Cassowary just because the Kangaroo and Koala was such a given I guess the Cassowary is more of a surprise.

I do wish they included more animals in the pack as Australia has such diverse ecosystems. I would of loved to see Rock Wallaby, Tasmanian Devil, Emu, Perentie, Echidna, Platypus, Wombats, Lyrebird and Bush-Turky. More diversity i guess would of been nice.

Coming into it from an Australian biology student, I think the blue tongue is kinda boring :/. I love the other animals, but I would've preferred a frilled neck lizard or a thorny devil as an exhibit animal. We also have some amazing small mammals! Numbats would be so cute and they'd work well with the conservation theme!!!! It makes me wonder if small mammal exhibits could be a thing.

I too think they should have also added things like the Platypus (great for "indoor" exhibits, and the well known Tasmanian Devil. But I'd love to see Delady's reaction to seeing Quokka's. They are by a huge margin, THE cutest animal on the planet! If you don't believe me, do a search for "Quokka Selfie" And yes they ARE real animals!

Looks amazing. But I don’t like that the kangaroos are the colours of eastern greys. And interesting fact about Kangaroos, they can have 3-4 babies on them at one time each one at a different age stages. And if a female is pregnant she can freeze her pregnancy until the oldest baby has left the pouch. I work with kangaroos at my local animal park and I love seeing tourist reactions to seeing them for the first time. They love our koala too of course.

The koalas and kangaroos aren’t technically being born rather than just emerging from the pouch for the first time they are both about the size of a jelly bean when they are born. They both spend about the first 6 months inside the pouch before emerging.

FINALLY someone agrees that the packs as atleast counting the animals are waaaay too small! They better make them bigger because this is exactly how you get people bored of paying money for so little again and again. This is how Sims does it and no wonder why people are so exited about paralives

@@DeLadysigner they could make one out of the animals they did not include in the DLC's they've made. Because 4 animals is not an Australia pack and 4 animals is not a south america pack either. So I hope they do that for example. Because I want/need the animals that is so exclusive to each continent and Australia has many animals that live in no other place than there! Hope they tale after zt2 later!

The Corrugated iron walls are Recolor-able, there is a paint pallet on the left when you click on it. and allows you to recolor

I’m really excited for this pack but I do always feel like we are being cheated by the animal count. With how much the pack costs we really don’t get much, especially since one of them is always stuck in a box you can’t change. I think the amount of construction pieces and foliage is fair for the price but... that’s not the point of a zoo game, it’s the animals. There’s always a feeling whenever they release a DLC that they’re missing something. Edit: I feel that it’s an especially large missed opportunity for more animals in the Australia pack considering how many animals are indigenous to Australia alone and it does feel unlikely that they’ll come back at a later date and add another pack from Australia. From a marketing perspective that wouldn’t make sense. It also would have been nice to see them donate some of the proceeds of this pack (especially if it were bigger and potentially cost more) to wildlife rehabilitation centers in Australia after the wildfires this year.

Woulnd't count on it.. there is a real difference between animals coming out of a pouch and animals having birth for real.. this game is for very young ages, so I dont think that this will ever be added for other animals.. as much as we would love to see it.. I just dont think thats going to happen.. in fact that might also result in their game having to change the min age..

Amazing video!! I’m so excited to see you incorporate these animals into your zoos! I live in Australia so I will let you know on a little secret hehe! You may want to make a bit small enclosures for them! We actually keep them in enclosures that seem too small but they just sleep in the trees all day!! 😂 these koalas May be coded to walk around more ahaha but yess thank you for this video! I’m so excited 😆

Honestly, when I opened the game for the first time, all my Koalas were only in the trees all day long and only came out for food hahaha.. but unfortunatly during my recordings it didnt go as well LOL.. but this probably also was a bug, since this was also an early access version haha :) for another KZfaqr they didnt climb at all, and this was indeed a bug :) which is hopefully fixed when the game will launch ♥ Cause the intention really is them being in trees all the time :)

I love this game. It's so relaxing to play, time can burn away just viewing the habitats. I only brought it as I played planet coaster and it's by the same developers so thought I would give it a go. So glad I did. I will have to get this pack as I love Australian wildlife.

Northern Blue Tounge Lizards/Skinks (which look nearly identical to the eastern ones but have a different habitat and behavior) are really popular pet reptiles! So I was exited for it.

It's true there are no Dutch zoos with koala's, but there are 3 Belgium zoos with koala's with Antwerp being the closest to NL, and the others being Planckendael and Pairi Daiza. Also Duisburg Zoo in Germany is close to the Dutch border. Some of these zoos are really worth a visit, not only for the koalas but for some inspiration as well. Planckendael, Pairi Daiza and Duisburg all have an Australian themed area and Pairi Daiza's especially has a very interesting design.

As an Australian, this dlc brings back so many memories of holding Koalas and petting Kangaroos. Cassowaries still terrify me though. Cannot wait to boot this up in the morning and start my own Australia Zoo.

I have worked as a volunteer in the Koala and Kangaroo section of Lisbon Zoo. There are very few zoos outside of Australia that house Koalas. They look cute but they aren't the friendliest animals. Actually, they can even be a bit dangerous. Their claws are very powerful and you do not want a Koala climbing up your legs or scratching your face! And the mating between them looks like a fight or a rape.

DeLady, every major zoo in Belgium has koala's, zoo of Antwerp, Planckendeal and Pairi Daiza. The zoo of Antwerp is literally next to central station, so just hop on a train and come see them ;)

Ik ben echt super enthousiast over deze DLC. Planet Zoo heeft zichzelf echt verbeterd, rode kangeroes en kasuarissen zijn echt dierentuin-dieren die je regelmatig in parken tegenkomt. De koala's zijn ook echt super tof. Alleen mis ik nog echt een paar soorten. Ze hadden het zichzelf makkelijk kunnen maken door emoe's en wallibies toe te voegen en gebruik te maken van de animaties van de kasuarissen en kangeroes. Tasmanian devils en wombats hadden ook erg gaaf geweest. Maar please Planet Zoo, maak de pakketten gewoon groter en vraag er dan een tientje extra voor dat heb ik er echt wel voor over. We gaan het zien, misschien met kerst?

Haha dat is ook mijn gedachten.. Ik blijf hopen op een grotere pack voor kerst ♥ Dat dieren nu niet in bepaalde packs zitten hoeft zeker niet te betekenen dat we ze straks niet zien ♥ Ik heb nog steeds vertrouwen :D

Ik weet zeker dat we straks meer pakketten krijgen met meer dieren, maar dat ze nu gewoon alle continenten willen tackelen voordat we aan de grotere dierenpakketten gaan beginnen, want de bouwstukken raken op een gegeven moment ook op design wise. Bijvoorbeeld als je een Europees pakket doet, je hebt al het klassieke thema, dus daar hoeven ze geen bouwthema meer bij toe te voegen, dus als je het realistisch bekijkt dan kan in een Europees pakket meer dieren zitten, omdat ze dan niet hoeven te focussen op het thema.

@@DeLadysigner Ik verwacht niet dat er een tweede Australië of Zuid-Amerika pack komt omdat de 'populaire' dieren zoals jaguars en koala's al gebruikt zijn en zo'n pakket echt niet lekker gaat verkopen als ze onaantrekkelijke dieren toevoegen zoals wombats of capibara's. Maar ik blijf hopen

hey we have koalas in the UK at longleat safari park! Not that much of journey over from the netherlands! just an overnight ferry or the channel train!

A little bit unrealistic that when a Kanga is pregnant, you can see the baby in the pouch, but considering this is a middle ground solution, i take it, since at the end of the day, its still a game that has limitations coding wise. I would have preferred the Emu over the Cassowary, but i don't mind having the Cassowary over the Emu now i see them in-game. Those decorated panels look like surfboards. Its odd the Flamingo cannot use the Pool.

Cassowaries live in the rainforest regions of Australia, not desert 💕 I live in an area where they inhabit, sadly they’re endangered but they are quite majestic to see in person 💜

The animation of the baby koala being born freaks me out. Because that's not where the pouch opening for a koala is. Koalas have a backward-facing pouch, not a forwards facing pouch like a kangaroo. If that was in the real world, that koala joey would be ripping out through the mother's stomach.

Duisburg zoo has Koalas and is not that far from the Netherlands. They also have the only Amazonian River Dolphin outside of South America.

In Leipzig (Germany) you can see koalas :). We have a pregnant one, who gives birth in the next time. :) Maybe thats worth a trip. ;)

It looks amazing!! I love it all, except one thing. Koalas both in the wild and at rescues VERY rarely are on the ground. Planet Zoo has been so great at making the animals as natural and real as possible, and then they put a koala on the ground? I love the koalas and they're super cute, I just think that bit is a bit weird

As I said in the videos, the Koalas mostly only climbed for me (i barely saw them on the ground).. only not during my recordings lol.. and that they ate on the ground was purely cause I didnt have enough enrichment feeders for them with the trees.. they still have to eat right :P ?
