The plank jack is a dynamic variation of the traditional plank exercise, amplified by the added resistance of a band.
To perform the plank jack with a resistance band, you will need a resistance band. NOTE: bands with higher resistance will provide a greater challenge.
Start by placing the resistance band around your ankles and getting into a plank position with your hands directly under your shoulders.
Once you are in the plank position, simultaneously jump your feet apart, widening your stance.
Plank jacks not only strengthens your core, shoulders and lower body, but also improves your stability, balance and coordination.
TIPS: As you perform the plank jack, focus on maintaining proper form and alignment. Keep your core engaged and hips stable.
