My favourite Archbishop was the antithesis of Welby, Terry Jones in Monty Python's THE BISHOP - walking through town streets, smoking, accompanied by heavies and kicking people in the arse, who got in his way.

I think you must have missed the latest. There IS actually an American company that 'grows' cement. They use a biological process which mimics how coral is formed, in a way. Look it up. The products are already being used commercially.

That's because it's mainly an early retirement middle class hobby or an indoctrinated know-it-all sanctimonious student's raison d'être. Most people worry about how they're gonna pay their next bill, or whether they'll be able to feed the kids etc etc. The pontiffs who espouse all things Green are generally the biggest consumers- the usual suspects- the usual hypocrites.

I'm not particularly bothered about climate change but we should be making and protecting spaces for nature to grow

Absolutely agree. The fact that deforestation is the second largest source of carbon emissions doesn’t seem to bother most, they just continually bang on about the burning of fossil fuels.

23 minutes in, Mike is right about - in science - the principle of disproving. This is called "falsifying a proposition", and that is the order in which things are done in Science. If a proposition is unfalsifiable, you cannot prove the proposition true either

The greenhouse gasses aren't the highest they've ever been for 4 billion years! We're currently at a gnats fart level of 420ppm. Back in the Cambrian period around 550 million years ago, it was around 7000ppm! The Cambrian period saw the biggest explosion of life the planet has ever seen!

I don't think Mike deserved to be plank number two. Yes, he said something silly but then again so do most of the main media, politicians and so forth and yet nobody laughs hysterically about what they say. I couldn't raise a smile and thought why is he saying that. Then forgot all about it! Believe me, I do laugh at many things but I didn't raise a smile at what Mike said was just baffled as usually, he comes across as quite intelligent and sensible.

So Mike is a second rate plank ! COP26 worthy winners this week : that way you can include Biden Boris et al . Was there ever such a complete bunch of plankers ! Avanti Trains worth an honourable mention as well : we've only had trains for 175 years and we still can't weather proof them . As Mike said Autumn's bad weather always comes as a surprise which our rail network cannot cope with .
