Jack! This sooooo reminds me of a time at the beach in N FL n we had a spaghetti squash n a can of black beans. So we rocked out the microwave at Kangaroo filled the squash w beans,n bought a bag of their tortillas w the fixings n we stuffed that baby w cheese,jalapeños,onions……..watever was there went in!😂😂😂 n hour later😂 Cashier was like………yeah sure u can have some! Every time I see a spaghetti squash that’s all I think of so thank you for bringing up a great memory !

Nothing wrong with using tomato puree. My Italian mama always used tomato puree to make her sauce and it was the best. Some good seasoning would be a few fennel seeds sauteed with the garlic and onion and finish with fresh basil. Nothing fancy, but very tasty.
