Chick video! Have been wanting chicks and chickens for along time since I had them at my old house so I need someone to live vicariously thru!

I understand you. You NEED a getaway place sometimes. Raising young children is not easy, and sometimes the MOM'S just NEED a getaway place, and that hopefully will be your's.

I would watch a chicken video just because it's you! We currently have chickens of our own and eggs in the incubator, so I am familiar with the process. So much FUN!!

Scale is such a nightmare! Please be careful with systemic around your kids and animals, its very poisonous to all wildlife and can even do harm entering waterways through our drains. I learned about systemics through creators like you and i wish I had known the dangers! Your new shelf and lights are looking so beautiful.

Oooooo!!!! Yes please! I would so appreciate a chick growing up how to. We are looking at moving shortly and are wanting to find a small home with a little yard that we can raise a few chicks and want to know the process first hand from someone we trust. Also, snakes a wonderful pets...so many varieties of differing needs and activity and low maintenance. I really hope your basement flooding situation is under control I know how frustrating and all consuming that can be. Thanks again for all you do. 🤗

Just here to say yes get a snake! We got our first ball python a few months ago and she is an absolute dream! Also lots of cool color morphs. Ours is white with black eyes.

I wouldn't recommend DIYing your terrarium into a snake enclosure because snakes are like escape artists and can get out of small holes that you might overlook. You also want everything to be safe under the warm lights and or heating mat underneath so I just recommend getting a tank made for snakes or a general reptile one with clips to keep the top screen clamped down. Do your research of course but in general it's really easy to take care of a snake coming from someone who has had a hognose snake for 8 months now.

I live in an apartment and am definitely not getting chicks any time soon but I would watch thee hell out of that chick video!!

Be super careful with water damage. ❤ We lost our home to mold from water intrusion that wasn’t adequately taken care of.

My Diffenbachia has scales and I used diluted rubbing alcohol and wiped it all down with the solution on a cotton ball with it daily for a week and after I would rinse it it off with a wet cotton ball with just water. And it got rid of them all and I changed the soil and stuff too.

Love having a plant room. Mine is also my office. I don’t understand how having pests like scale doesn’t freak you out!!! I would be spraying all my plants that came into contact with. BTW you son Riley has your eyes 🥰 they’re both adorable….how is it that they’re not curious about your plants? My daughter and son completely dug up some of plants “experimenting” when they were little. 😂 oh and nooooo to snakes. And yes to baby chicks 👍🏽

I had scale one the same type of plant and had to use systemic, but it came back so I trashed the plant. I have since heard that moving them outside for the summer works as there are predators that take care of the scale.

I’m a reptile amphibian lover that terrarium could be for ALOT of things, you could make a full ecosystem for multiple critters to live together, poison dart frogs, salamanders and anoles do well together, that thing must’ve been a fortune. I like keeping my plants in closer proximity, for ease of care, so I don’t forget any of them, and for a humidity boost, right now there’s 2 big main areas in my living space, when we buy our own home hubby’s building me a full room terrarium/greenhouse situation, my grandparents had an octagon solarium/terrarium in the middle of their home, the living areas surrounding it in a giant octagon shaped home, I want similar, they had trees growing in it “Ten gallon” lol you referring to a cowboy hat size? ❤

Dominion is a systemic that can also be used in a spray bottle that will kill on contact.

I use the systemic granules also. I use it every other month, dumping suggested amts to all my plants soil tops and mix it in. I, knock on wood, have usually no pests. If I do I hit them again and I am good. I have downsized to just u Der 300 plants now and feel I'm on top of it better that way, lol. I actually had my first scale infestation on my Monstera peru. They were even bigger than yours were and I was so grossed out. It had even spread to a few plants around it 😩I used tape on every single leaf and stem to remove them. I had to treat it like 3 times and I sprayed with neem oil just for an extra kick if anything else was brewing 😂

Those lights are FANTASTIC for LIGHT!! Where did you get them? I need something like that for a room we are totally re-doing, outside wall and everything. We live in an older mobile, and some places are pretty rotten. But once it's done, it will be a guest room slash Plant room. I cannot wait until it's done.

I have scale on some of my plants in my tent. I've been manually removing them and spraying them down with alcohol, but they keep coming back. I resorted to pesticides yesterday so we'll see how that goes lol. I'm over it.

I got scale on my Philodendron Giganteum Blzzard. Mostly on one leaf and mostly on the steam. I cleaned everything with Captain Jacks and then Neem every few days I went from one to the other. Also used systemic. Cut the infected leaf and after a couple of weeks all was well.

Sorry about the scale, but it looks like you have it under control. I have cut my white butterfly all the way down twice so far and it always comes back bigger and better . Hated to do it last time but after I repotted it, it just refuses to bounce back. Syngonium is definitely one of my top plants also. Can't get enough of them . I thought there was some big news coming, I'll wait and see . Thank you for sharing It's always so nice to see you and the kids 😊

I switched from the systemic granules to a liquid systemic that I found at a hydroponics store. It's called SNS 209. It is natural. And OMG it is so much better!!!!! I haven't had not one spider mite on my verrucosum!!!!!!!! Also I love chickens.❤

My mother used to buy many orchids from supermarkets and such. Almost all of them had scales and I used to think those were a natural reaction of the plants to springtails living in their pot. Since I am collecting plants I luckely know those are pests and regret not looking more into the topic when we still had the orchids. I used to think the springtails were the pest. RIP to all these orchids.
