I love it when the universe intervenes. I fell off the plant wagon for the last two weeks. I consumed oil and dairy. I got up this morning, cried a bit then washed my face determined to get back on track. I grabbed my notebook, my starch solution book, &'my highlighter. I said out loud "I desperately need a Kikki video"! And here you are!!!! 😭 Thank you ❤️

That’s awesome!! What advice would you give to a new vegan?
@edyann4 жыл бұрын
@@RoRo-gm7ee GREAT QUESTION AND THIS IS MY #1 ADVICE: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't limit yourself. Eat EVERYTHING off of the vegan food pyramid. That has been my biggest annoyance from today's generation of new vegans. Like so many vegan youtubers out there with their "I only eat this" or water fasting or keto vegan, etc, etc. I don't want to generalize but that's why 99.9999% of those people fail. When I became vegan on October 13th 1990 I did it and will continue to do it for the animals but it is one of the healthiest diet WHEN DONE RIGHT. Just like any other diet- if you don't eat enough fruit, or legumes or whatever because they're too high in sugar or carbs.. you're only eating raw because "cooked foods are not healthy.." to each their own but the majority fail. I eat very healthy and EVERY. THING. from legumes to rice, fruits, veggies, nuts and yes I do eat my vegan junk once a week. And to this very day: ZERO DEFICIENCIES. 🥰

Thanks so much for the advice. I really appreciate it.

I discovered you Mrs. Kiki about 3 weeks ago. After 2 weeks and 1 day of following your beautiful videos, I am 8lbs down and counting! Having extreme high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and being caregiver to both my parents, one who has dementia, I was slowly killing myself comforting myself with bad foods that I'd grown up all my life eating. 3 weeks ago I I decided to implement a plant based lifestyle and found your channel. I am 60 years old, active, weightlifting and I I do eat a fairly healthy diet. I’ve lost 60lbs over 3 years but I do have an additional 45 lbs left to lose. I have had digestive issues for some time . 2 weeks ago after a week of self refresher course and dusting off McDougalls materials from my bookcase I made the plunge. Digestive issues resolved, down 6lbs, energy through the roof! Better performance in the gym and my husband mentioned yesterday my hair is so shiny. You are precious. Thank you for sharing your journey.

It is like living in the Amazonas. I am so longing for cooler weather. Have all my fall decoration out as well. Nature is preparing herself irregardless though. Berries are ripening and leaves are turning their colour. But they have been kind of brown because of the heat anyway. Oh well, complaining won`t help either, so just watching some awesom Kiki videos, lol and tending to my bee sting I got today on my toe. Outch!
