I have to admit that sometimes at the beginning of watching you plant your containers I'm thinking to myself 'I'm not so sure I'd pick those plants to go together' and by the time you're done I surprise myself by absolutely loving it! You always put together plants that I would never choose at the nursery in such a way that is simply beautiful every single time!

My word! Time ALREADY flies by too quickly! PLEASE DON'T rush the fall season upon us! It's actually August 15th and I wonder, "Where did this much of 2019 go so fast?" (There's only 4 1/2 months until Christmas! AGAIN!) The arrangements are pretty; but, they're just too early! I'm still enjoying summer flowers & arrangements and haven't grown a bit tired of them! Take care!

Laura, I love that beautiful variegated foliage on the Rock 'N Grow® 'Boogie Woogie' - Stonecrop - Sedum hybrid. I hope you show where in your landscape you plant them when you take apart these planters at the end of the season. Can't wait to see these in the garden centers next year! These planters look gorgeous and are the perfect size for that area. I was happy to see Russell in this video also.

Beautiful fall inspiration! I absolutely love the purple fountain grass and the oranges, yellows and deep purples. So ready for fall and cooler temperatures! Containers will be so pretty with baby pumpkins mixed in! The new sedum will be a must for me next year! I hope that I will be able to find it in my area!

I love that she realized her mistake and immediately problem-solved! Ha! I can relate to those “oops” moments! Also, how come she always looks as cute as a button whenever she gardens?! No matter how long it takes, no matter how hot it is, her hair and makeup and clothes look great! I always look like I jumped into a pile of mud after I garden and haven’t slept for five days after I garden! lol!

Momma Odie Bear I’d say even into October. I’m going to plant seeds for vegetable garden for the first time. I’ll start in September and watch carefully. If tray don’t do well, I do again in October.

Forgetting about putting the drip tube in is so relatable! Very nice planters too! And I like to low maintenance fix bei just spraying the containers instead of wasting a lot time cleaning all the time. Beautiful choice of plants (as always!). Also the tip with filling them completely so they will not tip in the wind is helpful. Such a nice fall video 🍁

We have no plants left to buy in my area of Iowa zone 5. While visiting family in Indiana, I bought some beautiful flowers from an Amish man. So wish I could still be adding to my pots for the next month or so.

You are fortunate to have your parents garden center. I’ve been pushing our local centers to stock up more. I still end up purchasing online and paying crazy shipping costs. I shouldn’t have to, especially since I live in an area with lots of garden center options. Anyway, appreciate your good fortune. .

I love the hardy sedum. I split mine in the spring and I put them in the front of the house for the first time and they are amazing. You have to get them. The colors thought the season are so pretty. Mine started out green then went to white then pink med pink and now for the fall, they are going to get to a dark pink. I love it.

Went looking for Chrysanthemums today. I have to say I am so disappointed with my regular plant haunts. Very few Chrysanthemums out there and no variety of color. Gonna have to shop harder and pay more I guess. But...rusty brown and yellow are not the only colors that mums come in. I want true red! Lime green! White! Orange! And I never see large plants. I want bigger plants! Thankyou Laura. I look forward to your videos and your mistake with the drip tube was cute. Nice recovery!

I just ordered 2 more tall pots for fall color. My front beds are still in their first year so everything is tiny. I am going to place 1 pot in each corner of the beds then mirror the arrangement next to my front door. I have lived in my town for 23 years and my local garden center is just learning my name. :-)

I’m still growing my supertunias bubblegum from last year! Their beautiful, the blooms are smaller but it’s almost to the ground with lots of blooms! Still fertilize every week, water everyday! Going to try the white ones next year! Love them!

Those are beautiful! I would love to plant up some fall containers, but all of our garden centers are closed up this time of year and you can't find any plants! It's crazy! The best I can do is get mums at Lowe's or Walmart and that's it!

Still too hot here in N Texas (95-100 every day for two weeks now!) for any fall color in the garden centers, but I'm keeping this list of plants handy for next month! I also love that you used plastic containers. I've always loved those tall rectangular containers but was nervous about using them, thanks for all the tips!

These containers are absolutely beautiful, I love the deep purple it’s just stunning :) as soon as you started to put the soil in I was saying “oh you forgot the drip line” lol like you could hear me:) it’s going to look very pretty with the pumpkins around the base of the planters and Benjamin is really going to like them:) oh I guess the other day there were three big male deer in our front yard. I hope when we move back home I get to see them:)

Lovely pots! Want them. Love Rust-oleum paint also. I used their ULTRA cover to paint my kitchen cabinet bottoms in black and they look great. It covered lots of dog and cat damage. Want to paint my planters now. Thanks Laura. Love your videos.

I have one of those very same pots. I haven't learned about the self watering part but I have to put rocks in the bottom since Iowa is very windy and I don't want my newly potted plants being knocked over often. I chase my fern plant around the yard due to wind but yet, it is flourishing! thanks for the ideas. I'm going to use an obelisk in mine for fall and decorate accordingly. but will plant with flowers in the spring.
