I am not an "outdoorsy" person but I have started a garden because of you and your wonderful videos. And now I'm looking for property to purchase in the next couple years because I just love it. Never in a million years would I have considered myself a gardener but you have totally opened my eyes to the wonderful world of plants and outdoor color. Thank you so much for that.

I always wished I could own the empty lot next door so I could have it enclosed and grow a lovely private garden. Complete with covered decking and huge water fountain with a large basin full of water. I could fill it full of flowering trees..bushes...lilies..Roses etc. I would have a space to grow vegetables too. Just a dream..of course. 🥀🏡

melaniek072895, NOOOOOO!!!!! They are perfect like they are! I just discovered her videos recently, and I'm glad they are short and to the point. I've already put off watching the 48min garden tours videos, because I need to find the block of time required. It will be a treat, I know, but there's just SO MUCH CONTENT -- online and elsewhere -- that it's like a fulltime job sometimes! She is doing juuuuuust riiiiiight! I could watch her all day, so full of energy and so cheerful, she inspires me to get busy! But additional length isn't necessary to get the point across. 🌱🌷🌱🌷🌱🌷🌱🌷🌱🌷

I love that you are using fewer plants for each of the hayracks, this should be a gorgeous combination. From my experience that sweet potato vine is a fast growing beast (when I cut mine back I root them in water and have a lot more plants with lots to share). I can't wait to see the updates on these and on the huge entryway planters!

Four Vistas and a sweet potato vine will fill in the hayracks just fine. You are right in choosing the right plants and just plant less of them and still get a stunning result. SusieDiamond I agree. Super glad Laura toned down the amount of plants per container. The average person can’t afford the over planting she usually does. This way her inspiration videos can be utilized by most with realistic results. I do however understand the instant gratification she likes to see because I was the same way when I first started gardening. Live and learn 🌸❤️🐞

Great video! Those are going to be gorgeous! Those hayracks were fantastic last year, can't wait for the show this summer! I am using PW Supertunia pink bubblegum, Diamond Frost Euphorbia, a purple fountain grass, and the PW lime potato vine in a few of my pots again this year. I like to mix it up every summer, but definitely have my favorites. Among them are new Guinea Impatiens, and huecheras for shade. I detest that my flower pot areas, decks especially get shadier every year because of big tree growth, most which I cannot control because they are neighbors trees. I find in bright shade mixed with partly sunny locations I can still get supertunias and superbells, etc., to perform pretty well.

I have found myself searching for past videos to see what it all looked like when you first moved in to that house and garden to compare how fantasticly beautiful and tidy your garden has evolved along the years. I love the drone footage too! So inspiring. I think I will do the same in my hayracks this year, only on a much smaller scale...I only have 2 that are in full sun. Thank you! Happy Spring!

The problem is youtube's app for my Roku SUCKS and it takes FOREVER to scroll back to the beginning. And I can't (obviously) watch all of them in one sitting, so each time the app loads, I've got to "scroll to the right" for like five minutes to find where I left off, lol. But it's worth it. So glad to see you arent being wasteful this year. Encouraging over-planted containers only to have the vigorous growers overwhelm the average growers in the remainder of the growing season is foolish, unfair to the plant and a wasteful investment in time and mostly money. Stressing the life out of some plants by forcing them to grow in overcrowded conditions and then shooting them full of weekly fertilizer only makes matters more intense and wastes additional time and money. Underperforming plant displays by over planting isnt a good marketing strategy for PW either. PW needs to be able to showcase the merits of all the hard work that went into their plant development by allowing those plants to perform as they were meant to, to show off their unique attributes instead of fizzling out not due to the plant's failures, but because of the gardener's decisions. The right plant in the right growing conditions in the right display saves lives, plant lives. The lemon coral sedum ( and others in that planter) also misses out on the opportunity to showoff the very reason why YOU as a gardener, Laura, love their visual contribution to a planting scheme. In the end all I saw was a massive ( albeit impressive) petunia display. Forgot there were other plants in that display cuz they were choked out by the supertunias. Shouldnt have to work that hard to see the other plants. Average homeowners dont have commercial nursery sponsors to fund their planting, potting and feeding costs. Planter projects cost money. Once you make the initial $$$ investment in a large striking planter the annual planting show and upkeep should be relatively low cost BECAUSE of the amazing work of plant scientists like PW and Espoma who show YOU how a modest investment each season with the right brand, will give you the biggest bang for your bucks. I cant wait to see how this re-worked scheme will turn out this year as the hayrack idea was breathtaking in its scope in large scale thinking but can it be sustainable in the years to come? I think so!

This is going to be so stunning!! I love this blend so much. Cannot wait to see an update in a few weeks. I planted supertunia Vista bubblegum and diamond mountain together this year too!

Lovely choice of colours I can’t wait to see them grow. You have inspired me to try something similar although I only have four hayracks.
