Appreciate having read a comment like yours because I relate wholeheartedly. I was still in my 20s when I first discovered Zack playing NES Zelda, and then followed him and Ashley for many, many years. I more or less quit watching KZfaq of any kind for nearly 5 years straight and to hear him still chugging along is a little mind-blowing, yet good for him, you know? Zack's earned his reputation. I do miss the beloved Egon and his brother Otto that passed before him.

We all hope that, but it won't. It lacks everything that the old games had that was good and fun. The interesting levels, the "choose your plants", the artstyle is horrible, it has all the awful mobile game shenanigans. I played and finished pvz1 10 times. I won't play this game when it comes out.

Reasons why the game is bad - you can’t choose your own plants - the game is trying to be knockoff of gardenscapes and those other crappy mobile games - there are barely any plants and zombies - peashooter was nerfed for so no reason at all - MICRO-TRANSACTIONS R BACK - the game literally holds your hand the entire time you play, giving you tutorials on how to use EVERY. SINGLE plant and level gimmick. - the lore is kinda boring and forgettable - Apparently Bonk Choy and Cabbage Pult are OP in this game for some reason. - the bird feeder zombie - the new artstyle kinda sucks tbh - They somehow ruined vasebreaker and made it ridiculously easy - the game treats you as tho you don’t know how to play the game - Cherry bomb, jalapeño and Chilly pepper are power ups now and not plants you can’t put on your lawn now. - the almanac is not in this game… - pretty much of the new plants from the first PVZ 3 are no where to seen in this game. Popcap. EA. Seriously… wake up..

It that kind of stuff is made to be a lazy cash grab right? I like to think Im a decent pvz fan an this seems like a disrespectful sequel compared to 1 an 2. If it was it was more Original I be more fair with my criticism. Normally I'm a huge fan of getting to create your own area but it feels empty. You get three generic designs to pick from on designated areas it just feels limited an boring.

Adding salt to injury, the ranked match is pay to win due to instas are paid and zombies give points depend on which column they are killed (like arena pvp) instead everybody's wanted xbox version of PvZ's versus mode where it's isn't pay to win and can actually strategize to win.

Also its just the first game game simplified and stylized + gardenscapes or whatever. Not something new and fresh. But lets see if they have made any changes since the earlier versions.

Played it as soon as it came out and got first place in the event. Beating PVZ 1 36 times was worth it

Interesting to see that the gravestones spawn based on where the zombies died, with the tombstones getting larger with each zombie death

Yeah, having read the comments it’s not clear to me that kids will eat anything up these days. The devs haven’t implemented any requested feature since last beta, it’s clearly a cash grab with its superpowers being paid for. It’s sad to see the community being excited about getting spat in the face.

So we cant even pic our own plants... the levels are like a minute long (if not less), and don't think I didn't notice the "golden brain" on the top left of the homescreen as in lives that will make you pay to keep playing? This game is too much "mobile puzzle game" and not enough pvz!

Wow, this is upsetting. PvZ started out as an indie game with a small team of passionate developers, and now it's just another one of EA's cash grabs. Soulless art design, copy-pasted "gameplay", nearly everything is now monetized, etc. So sad to see this franchise milked for every penny instead of just dying.

I agree with you. The looks too cartony. They ruined crazy Dave. The game is gonna be very pay to win. The first game was much better.

Plus they ruined sun it gives me spysical pain in the back that they arent going up by 25 and plants not costing like 100 sun to place a pea shooter
