Today we are going to have a go at plastic welding back together to try and save a few pound rather than buying new ones.

Hi Gary done a bit of plastic welding myself over past few years have used paper clips to stitch up crack also strips of fibre glassing aluminium mesh melted into plastic on the back of the panel great vids mate

Great video Gary, I have in the past with a crack put a tiny hole at the end of a plastic crack to stop it going any further, then weld it and fill it , looking forward to the next one 👍

Particularly on the inside, I tried baking soda and super glue. You can sand it flat and it's as hard as nails. Worth an experiment sometime Cheap glue is fine to use and it's solid in a few minutes.

Abs styrene strips behind the panel stuck with gorilla glue or tamiya liquid cement works best it properly bonds together, any old plastics from motorbikes that are badly broke save for filler rod, nylon tie wraps are a good idea for filler rods but there not the same material

Looks good. The body panels are probably ABS and cable ties are nylon, not very compatible, so might have been just as well to put the fibreglass in the melted channels.

cable tie was new to me bud, when you use fibreglass bud carrier bag it after as saves a lot of time sanding and keeps the heat in so drys quicker and smother
