Cm Marines: I need a medic a runner just slashed me 8 times I lost my gun and barely hit the runner and the queen just screeched and half of the marines got capped or died TGMC Marines: Grab a MG60 and go Bodyblock the queen while high on combat and healing stims on a heavy Jaeger armour with Shields on and 6 HE grenades

@@Direwoof It's only Imperial Guard if you lack robustness. I say this because as survivor I've had rounds where a group of three kills at least 10, at our best 15 xenos before the marines arrived.

The only problem with TGMC is that they managed to make playing xeno *more* of a monotonous chore than what it has become on CM. I miss 2017-18 CM where xeno was about skill (one-hit neuro), precision (old boiler), careful risk management (decap rav), and quick footwork (charging into cadelines over and over in the same straight line) instead of sitting around waiting for MOBA cooldown abilities to come back up. But unironically the state of CM where the most potent setups on each side require tool-assisted macro abuse and everything else is dogwater, where admins are shitters, where there's a clique of staff-sanction griefing roles (MP, CMP) with OOC protection from the consequences of their IC actions is the main draw of TGMC. The "you are an RTS unit" style of gameplay and total lack of RP is boring as fuck, even if the less anal and more interesting marine equipment choices are awesome.

To be fair to CM they are moving away from this style of gameplay. They got rid of the double shotgun macros and recently got rid of the warrior stun -> death combo. The real reason I like CM more than TG is that it actually feels like you need teamwork to win, on TGMC it feels like everyone is a one man army trying to carry the entire team, where on CM sticking with your squad, sustained fire and some players sacrificing damage for the ability to set up other players for kills (slugs and grenades) is essential for victory. It feels much more like an actual army squad that relies on each other to survive rather than playing Halo except everyone is the Master Chief. I personally have never had an issue with Admins on CM but it is an issue that does need addressing.

@@hoomanben8455I feel like the whole point on teamwork would've been good, if it easn't for that *one* marine who charges into the murderball or the choke with nothing but a Rifle and gets insta-capped. Also, bring my homeboy the M577 APC back. :(

The only reason i play CM13 is it looks more Alien than the TerraGov shows it since, it looks it came out of halo(Which i don't hate, please don't kill me). I'm more to the aesthetics of CM13 just because they're in lore. They also added a new faction called the Three World Empire which was called the Rising Empire setting sun or what ever the name was. I'm a nerd, so basically the looks of CM13 reminds me of the film more than anything really. Although i haven't tried TGMC though i dont really see much activity aa it generally has lowpop whenever i get on.

TGMC: larp. like, a lot. play one hour and no more because this server is LRP in disguise and is... kinda boring, once a, xenos stop playing or b, after too long gameplay. still get to larp tho. CM13: genuinely fun RP moments and the more limited options make a big win more of a rush. also the pulse rifle sounds nice and the smartgun is as it should be. much tankier enemies though. also larp. but in a different way. 3:00 boowomp

CM circa 2015-17 was the best aliens game I ever played. It still had those vanilla SS13 mechanics that kept rounds interesting, and the original Sulaco ship had the best layout and endgame design for final sieges, with marines having to desperately defend the escape shuttles until they were refueled.
