Some years back I woke up from a nap and kept hearing what sounded like water moving deep in my ear. at one point I was sitting completely still and heard it again , ruffling going on in my ear and I knew something was up. So this also happened to me and it was a small one that was very able to crawl deep into my ear. I was probably about 12 or 13 and just like you I woke up to it happening but I tried to stick my finger in to get it out and just pushed it deeper because I had no idea what to do. Long story short they got it out at the hospital after I woke everyone in the house up because I was screaming. Turns out your eardrum is super sensitive to pain and a roach freaking out and stomping around on it is one of the worst feelings in this world. So it could have been a lot worse trust me 🤣

I know I'm a year late, but I've had that exact same cockroach thing happen to me. I pushed it further in and it got stuck in there. it was flapping its wings and shit next to my ear drum. my brother had to get it out with some teasers. Worst thing I've ever been through.. and I've been shot at..

A few years ago, a cockroach crawled into my mother's ear. She woke up at night in pain and no one could figure out what it was, my mother put oil in her ear and when the pain was less she went back to sleep. We went to the doctor the next day and the doctor pulled out a giant cockroach from her ear, he said that putting oil in her ear was the right move as the cockroach couldn't breath and died, he also said that if she wouldn't have done that, she'd probably be dead since the cockroach would've torn the eardrum and gotten inside. Moral of the story, if you feel excruciating pain in your ear, might as well put hair oil in that, might just save your life.

Dude!! I can relate. About a year ago I woke up in the middle of the night. I felt like some water was in my ear. I kept trying to shake the water out of my ear, but then I sat still and realized there was a fuckin bug in there. I instantly got up out of my bed and ran to my parents room freaking out that there was a bug in my ear. Didn’t know what else to do. Oh, how conveniently, my mom read somewhere online like 2 weeks prior that olive oil can be used to get bugs out of the ear as it suffocates them and they run to fresh air. half asleep , she runs downstairs and grabs olive oil and a spoon and pours it down my ear. I felt that morherfucker wriggle, squirm, and suffocate in my ear. It fell out and then all was over. I don’t think I’ve ever cried so hard in the last 3 years lmao it stripped me of all my dignity. I broke my arm in a rugby match and this still produced more horror. I then slept in fetal position with my fingers in my ears the rest of the night. TLDR; but in my ear turned me to a sissy, my parents are GOATS and olive oil is the solution. 20yo btw

I've had a roach in my mouth while I slept. It tasted strangely metallic? It quickly went out when I started to wake up, but man. I had to brush my teeth like four times to help with the thought of those little critters crawling about in my maw.

If it makes you feel any better… 15 years ago when I was a teenager, I got the cotton from a q-tip stick deep in my ear. Had to get it flushed out at the hospital. The nurses acted like I was simple so to alleviate stress and make myself laugh about it I acted accordingly. When we were leaving my mom asked if I needed to stop anywhere and I said, in a loud voice: “Crayons! Need crayons for my coloring book!”

If you have to live with roaches, I would strongly suggest a bag of cotton balls. Cheap and easy to use. You don't cram the sh!t in your ears. Just take a ball and gently tuck it a bit. Roach will not be able to make it in to far before you wake up and sh!t your shorts, but its a better safety net, than nothing at all.

Me, who has had 2 and due for a third mastoidectomy (basically chunks of my inner ear and bone removed) hearing your cockroach story; 😭🤮💀
