that.... is a very good question.... you'd think by now persona atleast with it's style-ised to hell and back aesthetic would make it so everyone's doing something ike running around the boss or taking cover, then when it comes to your turn time freezes, you pick everyones move for that turn, and then everyone does their thing at once like a simultanious attack, then the boss retaliates, time freezes again with everyone in different positions around the boss ready to strike again. i probably didnt explain that well, but point is at this point they could be more imaginative with how turn based systems are presented in battle.

godsplayingfield Well that's with every turn based strat but turn based strat has become it's own genre so not being turn based defies the logic of it being in the turn based genre and idk about you but I like the turn based genre and I don't want the turn based genre to basically go extinct

Vince Rutherford ..... going to guess i didnt explain my position properly so lemme try again. i LOVE turn based games and never want to see them gone, but i do admit characters jsut standing there waiting to get hit or do their attack seems unnatural and kinda boring (it is fine in older games as they had to save memory and asset space so standing in a row and doing actions per turn was effective, but now the systems we play have far greater power for things like this) what i want is keeping the turn based gameplay, but have the characters and monsters actually do things to show they're not just standing waiting their turns. atleast in persona series. for example: battle starts, the characters spread out and surround the enemy and get in position, time freezes. during this time freeze is your turn. you pick what everyone does or if it's ATB gauge, what a character does, once you're finished, time unfreezes to show the results (ie, attack, use items, magic etc basically time freeze is what your characters are thinking on what to do next) then the enemy does their turn, then time freezes again. and while time is active the characters and enemies actually move around the arena and do things like take cover, if they dodged show them actually dodging etc nd when time freezes it shows them in new positions and places of the arena to show they're reacting to what the enemy has done or is going to do. now keep in mind this is pretty much all just visual fluff and doesnt have any bearing on gameplay at all, but it would make fights feel far more dynamic and like there is a real battle going on.

You can draw the Apocalypse magic from the dangling human form. Although if you've done the standard Final Fantasy level grinding, you probably won't need it. (Still it's fun to do, just so you can say you've drawn every magic in the game.)

If you can't see the animation of the villain but you can see the logo of the enemies (Nobodies or Heartless), then it's not actually the villain you are fighting but a boss they summoned to help them. Same with Ansem in the end of KH1, he controlled a giant Heartless shipe like thing too, but then again, they are both really Xehanort.

He also missed out the start of the fight where you have to defeat several pieces of the reshaped Castle That Never Was and the first fight against Xemnas' Armoured Form- so no surprise for the inaccuracy there.

Think that was something we Europeans like to do, plenty of games have gotten an extra subtitle just to make it seem a little bit cooler and perhaps catch the eyes of potential customers in game stores. Although there are sometimes exceptions where the games released in the EU are given a shorter title, like the sequel to the point and click horror game Shivers, in the US its called Shivers 2: Harvest of Souls while in the UK its just called Harvest of Souls for some odd reason.

Most of the worlds revolve around them and it's quite cool seeing Disney worlds and characters in a RPG game The gameplay is RPG but it's not turn based, so you can spam attacks like crazy The story is interesting, all of the games add up to the full story so it's best to play all of them The soundtracks are amazing! It even has its fair share of Final Fantasy characters I'd recommend giving it a try and see if you like it

It was a double whammy because I got to see my favorite series (kingdom hearts) in one of robs Friday features which is awesome!
