i love how we have a werewolves pack, a vampire pack and a ghost pack but it's the pack about LANDLORDS that has the most evil opportunities

My biggest fear is not the lack of content, but the amount of lag and bugs we might face with this pack. I love infants and the whole gameplay that came with them, but they are still laggy to play with... So are many other things we have in the Sims 4... I truly hope that the pros are bigger than the cons of this pack!

There is lightswitches now! It came with the bathroom clutter kit, and I believe they added one to base game too 😊

Too good to be true is probably going to be an incredibly accurate statement. I think the idea looks really interesting (and the world and clothing as beautiful as ever) but I'm going to wait at least a couple weeks after release to see how badly this pack is messed up before I consider buying it full price.

I'm excited but only for the cultural aspect Komorebi and Sulani are already my favorite worlds and I really need more worlds that are not USA/European based. But honestly this feature of rental residential is so promissing, the worlds are really small but now considering that you can put six families in a single lot. Del Sol Valley could go from "eleven lots" to basically almost forty, I don't even plan playing as a landlord, I just want my sims to have an actual community instead of just two other families in the neighborhood.

Man I wish we got some of these features in Apartment Life lol. Probably won't be enough to get me to play 4 again, but this looks very promising. Excited to check it out when it comes out, happy for the Sims 4 players if they do end up getting some cool content.

This is the first time in a long time I've been even slightly interested in a Sims 4 pack.. That being said, I have a slight amount of optimism, and a heavy amount of skepticism.

I don't know if you heard, but apartments will work the same as in City Living, that means you'll have to go through a loading screen to visit your neighbors or even the person you're renting your spare room to. It won't be like in TS2 that they'll instantly loaded as soon as you knocked on the door. It's a little bit of a deal breaker for me. The only reason I wanted to get this pack was so I could seamlessly visit my neighbors like in TS3 or TS2 Apartment Life, but it won't be possible.

I just gotta say.. I’m so glad you’re making Sims content again. You’re the only one that keeps it real and is not over the top annoying. Thank you❤

Just finished the video. I know there is an outlet in the game, I don't think is functional it comes with one of the kits. There is one more rule, if you have Cats and Dogs, you can forbide the tenants from having pets, the maximum is six families per lot, but there is a cheat that will give you an unlimited number of families. Apparently there is a "loading time", probably loading screen when your sim travel to a different unit. The wise trait seems interesting, you can give to elders in CAS, but you can unlock it when your adult sim becames an elder if they are considered a "wise" person, we still don't know how but it's probably related to skills.

I can finally remake the Strangetown Hotel from the Sims 2 DS properly with this 😭

It _is_ a new plant, a cycad, it's probably meant to represent the genus Zamia, one of those plants you can buy at IKEA. Cycads or "cone palms" are a very ancient type of plant, typically what you'd run into if you could travel back in time to the Mesozoic (Age of Dinosaurs).

I would really like to see you explore the new Sims 4 packs, especially Growing Together. It’s very different than it was, so now when you talk about TS4 it feels a little uncomfy since it’s a dated view. But glad you’re making this content again!

I'm very excited for the apartment features, they're going to add so much to the game and worlds are going to become a lot busier and vibrant thanks to this feature - no more half the Sims you know not having a home to visit! HOWEVER, the worlds in these packs are never going to work as anything but aesthetics for me because of the way townies from all packs still spawn into all worlds unless you have mods to stop that. Every time they release an expansion they say getting to know the community and culture is a big part of the experience but I find it's always ruined when you still see Sims like Nancy Landgraab and Makoa showing up in the new world instead of the actual residents.

As we know in The Sims 4 when Sims are on a lot they don't respect any boundaries I'm wondering how that's going to affect having multiple units on a single lot if we are going to be able to keep our Sims in their respective Apartments without being invited over

There are going to be more rules. That just showing if you only got this and base game. I hope they add some rules for most packs. I hope it isn't like some other packs were they don't integrate the older packs

There is already a roommate option in the sims 4 for you to rent out a bedroom Cindy! It was added in University so you don’t need the for rent pack to have a roommate 😊

This should be a Game Pack, TBH. If you're gonna split up Life Simulation in a bajillion packs, EA might get more money if they put it in a $10 game pack. 😂 This is ridiculous.

I know you haven't reviewed it yet, but Growing Together offers some great gameplay features for family storytelling. The Sims 4 team is getting better with storytelling with the recent DLC.

7:46 one of my favorite things to do in college was to sit on my bathroom counter, with snacks, and listen to my neighbors argue! 😅 I even got a few of my friends to join me!

About renting rooms. We already have this feature that came with Uni pack. You can get roommates. They will pay rent and they are npcs. You can either ask someone to be your roommate or put up a roommate ad by your phone, random sims will come, you can chat, choose who you like the most and rent your room to them.

I am way to excited to watch you play this expansion. It's been years since I actually found a gaming streamer I enjoy watching. And I don't mind if it means less vlogs. As long as we still get to see you🎉 over there sometimes as well. 😊

I was excited for this pack, untill they announced that they have loading screens to see the freaking apartments you build. Im also mad they are holding hostage 3 items for people who preorder. Im so sick of shelling out money. I dont have it, Ive spent almost every bit of my gaming money on sims for the last 20 years. this pack feels like a slap in the face to me.

It sounds pretty fun. I have a lot of thoughts on how to use it. For example, in TS2 I made an apartment and put four ladies in it. Each of them was in a relationship with the same man and each of them had kids by him. I think they all also had kids by other guys, so none of the relationships were exclusive. The idea though was to have his kids grow up on the same lot and spend time around each other and become friends organically. I definitely think I can do that with this. I might even have the guy on the lot since we can have up to six (without cheats) apartments. Another thing is I am making a TS2 save and apartment life was going to be rough because of how apartments in the game are. The worse being Jessica Peterson who lives in a trailer park along with two other townies sims. I wanted to make all three sims in the same apartment complex, but there really wasn’t a place that fit. Now I can actually build their lot and that will be super great. Another possibility is have multiple generations in one house where each household might have a room or a suite of rooms and the rest of the house is shared space. I have also considered the idea of an orphanage with dorm parents for each set of children, a barracks for historical (or military) play with multiple squadrons together, actual dorms for college, an apartment area for Del Sol Valley that houses struggling artists, and some sort of long term B&B, inn, hotel, motel, etc. So much potential with this expansion pack. I mostly don’t care about the rental aspect (though some if those definitely would be tenets), but the multi-household dwellings should be a lot of fun.

Thank you for not towing the line and saying how much you don't want to be a landlord because it's en vogue to be anti-landlords atm. This pack looks funny and evicting pixels doesn't make anyone a bad person.

I hope with the new pet policies as a tenant you can try to hide your pet from the property owner. I wanna have a sim be like “the landlord is coming ! Hide the horse!” And put a sheet over him. Or hiding your dog or cat under your bed or something. lol they probably won’t do that but it would be great.

You should get the Sims 4 Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack if you like cooking and stuff in the game. You can basically start a food stall and it also adds in 3 new small appliances. Pizza Oven, Waffle maker, and food processer/blender. plus a selling table for foods and drinks (with the drink tray from one of the past stuff packs) There are light switches now, not outlets though. I didn't realize I wanted that, but now I do lol So Simguruninja also mentioned a cheat to increase the amont of units you can have on a lot as well, so you could definitely be a slum lord with the cheats....if your computer can handle it.

I have played The Sims 2 for years and agree that The Sims 4 lacks in gameplay and mostly story telling. For me, The Sims 4 would be perfect if they had created it based on the continuity of the amazing base game stories that we had in The Sims 2. However, I honestly would struggle to play without advantages such as multitasking and sims being able to squeeze into small gaps (in The Sims 2, they get stuck everywhere). About this pack: I am super excited for it. I follow a lot of simmers who are specialised and focused on building. I also see the gameplay potential but to be honest, I believe the biggest addition this will make to the game is in terms of building. I hope they deliver what we are expecting in both aspects. 😊

I'm always very skeptical when a new sims 4 pack comes out, when I saw this I was pretty excited for those who do play sims 4 cause it seems like there's going to be some cool new gameplay but personally I'm mostly just excited for the Sims 2 conversions that are going to come from it LOL

It's been a LONG time since I was this excited for a new pack! I can't wait to build townhouses (especially british ones haha) and to see the new world! I am so excited for this pack, it seems like there are endless opportunities build wise, and it looks like there is gameplay. Also looking forward to the Eastern / Thai inspired world and items for build and buy. I have been to Penang in Malaysia, for my honeymoon (a long time ago) and this pack reminds me of that, i remember the night markets, they had such an atmosphere. So i have started building ready for the pack, so far i have built a mobile home park, and stilted apartments in Sulani, and i am hoping to do like an old peoples home too :D

Cindy!!!! I’m so excited to remake the trailer park from the sims 2! I wanna move my Broke family in soo bad. I’m so excited I’m going to buy this one asap. I was the same way with the infants expansion and I have no regrets. Even if this doesn’t launch perfect and it’s wedding stories 2.0, the bones are there in this expansion that the modding community I bet will be able to fix the tweaks and add more to what’s already there! I really actually feel like the sims 4 team has come a long long way from when they first released it and I find myself a lot more patient and optimistic when they release new content now! ❤

Oh we do have light switches in the game it came with the Everyday Clutter Kit, I use them in every build or when I makeover old premade houses in my game, lol! I love those little realistic touches! Also I am very interested in this pack, and have a lot of ideas myself about what I am going to do with it when I get it! I want to build a apartment from one of my favorite shows, it's an Australian show from the early 2000s called The Secret Life Of Us! I have tried to do it before, by just locking doors for different Sims to keep them in their own apartments, but now I won't have to! But the only problem with this, will be that there will be a loading screen to get into those other apartments, so I won't be able to control all them at once, like I normally do! But now I won't have to leave out some of the people from the show, meaning I won't have to just make 8 Sims! I actually already have most of them made, so it will be easy to do, I will just have to build the apartment now! Also welcome back, I wondered why I didn't see any new videos from you for a long time now! Also, I don't know if you like to do videos of other life sims, but you should check out the new one, Life By You, which is being released on March 5th 2024 for early access on Steam and Epic! It looks really great and I can't wait until it comes out!

I feel like "for rent" is kind off a "city living 2.0" since we already kind of got apatments. Not even the apartments are sth that you only get with city living bc in the new world with Eco Living you also got apartments. So City Living basically gave you a sales table and markets.

I hope you will be able to upgrade things like sinks and showers in apartment and have way to reduce the workload, because I can see it all being new and fun to begin with. But suspect if it just run same game loop and quite frequently it will probably get tedious after a while and feeling repetitive grindy if they don't. Also think they should have added a free version of working elevator like city living has for the pack, not sure if they have but think they should. Guess apartment won't have items rendered inside until you knock on door sorta like when you visit other sims houses, then I imagine sims will spawn outside lot if not at home or appear spawned inside if at home. So think it will probably work similar to when you visit sims houses and knock on their doors. Then it visiting several apartment after each other will likely be like visiting apartments in city living, where door closes at previous one and it returns to the non rendered state with interior and sims presents. Kinda wonder how taking their stuff if they're not paying rent would work, if you furnish their apartment. Wouldn't most the stuff inside be yours technically? Less they place small things like I think with renting room out to room mate.

I'm so excited, I play The Sims 2 Super Collection on mac which doesn't include two of my favourite packs, Freetime and Apartment Life - so I'm looking forward to playing with that concept again!

looks like fun, Have pre-orded, and they say its easy to change old items you own or from gallery to use with this pack, watch out for the new babies stuff after Growing Together that changed a lot after adding new baby state ... lot harder to do 100 babies, also check Horse Ranch Training horses but if not into that selling Nectar is also fun.

I haven't played the sims 4 in months since I started a new job but this expansion might just bring me back. I adored the apartments in the sims 2. I'm excited for this one.

Duplexes and townhouses everywhere. That is where I am at lol Building is always fun. Gameplay nearly never is. The last pack I had fun with was stangeville lol I know not everyone liked it but I actually enjoyed having purpose in this game
