i guess for me i never really understood why it’s a problem if it’s biased, the whole reason i watch reviews from simmers is to hear their opinions on the packs and then make up my own opinion based on what i’m seeing.

The Sims 4 is way too tame, which is why I tend to get bored so easily. There's no consequences to anything outside of "sim gets sad for 2 hours." This is such a great pack for burglars....but nope can't have them.

It's so ridiculous, too. At 10 I was playing the old stuff just fine! And a scary burglar has become a fond memory! Why is it so toddler friendly now? It's insulting even to the intelligence of a child!

If they aim at kids through to nostalgic adults then EA can make more money.

And the sad thing is, I've seen parents saying that TS4 is too "raunchy" and "explicit". Like you wot mate? Seriously, if they think TS4 is too "wild" then they'd have a stroke at TS2&3 😅

But walking around the park is a exclusive and enganging gameplay of growing together LOL.

All expansions this year shouldn't be expansions. Growing together should be base game since family gameplay is essential. Horse ranch is a game pack at best For rent is city living 2.0, basically the only thing that comes with this is being able to make our own apartments and that should have come with city living, also they only added the thai culture to have an excuse to be EP.

I'm a big builder, so I was kind of thinking of buying this pack so that I could create appartments of my own without pretending, but honestly, for 40$ and the lack of stuff they're presenting with the pack, i'd rather keep pretending.

Yes it takes time, money etc, all of which are resources that the multi million dollar company EA has at their disposal. They are fully capable of crafting a pack worth playing, they just choose to cut corners and don't bother using their resources because they know people will buy it regardless of its quality@@excellenthamster

@@readyraito9154 Have to correct you on this, building a house is not all that hard. I know someone who is a contractor. Even cavemen were capable of building houses. So not sure why you chose that of all things as a comparison. Also a house costs 100's of thousands of dollars, if I spend that much, it better be quality. $40, I have zero expectations. You spend more than that on a single meal of take out.

I think we never can get Windenburg sized world again. Because Get together was second expansion and For Rent will be 15th. Maybe worlds will be smaller and smaller because game stuffed with DLCs and poorly made game engine overwhelmed by content (right now in game more than 70 DLCs).

Exactly. Like sure if you own all the packs then every new pack is gonna add lag. But what if you are newer to the sims4 or dont own any packs and you want to get a newer one? Then youre just stuck with 8 or 9 lots instead of the old 16+

In other channel someone said there is a hint about another wedding or romance pack, imagine wedding stories 2. Nobody asked for that.

Instead of revamping them for free like they did with Spa Day (maybe they didn't make *that* much money, in my opinion because Spa Day is very niche and only people who really want gameplay with it or builders care for it), they just put the "new", polished and missing features in another pack for 40 bucks and call it a day.

@@ember9361 some simmers have a weird and toxic relationship with the game. They know it's not great and every few months they expect it to change and get their hopes up until it all comes crashing down because The Sims 4 never changed. Keeps being a dull, empty game.

Because if they don't go back people complain about not having certain features and when they do people still complain about it not coming out 8-10 YEARS ago. They can never win

What's even more funnier is the fact that we have a "snoopy" trait and on top of that we're supposed to be building units. But on what lots??? And what people are we supposed to snoop around to find their secrets when there is so little premade sims?

​@@ggraverobberapparently there are a bunch of ‘hidden’ sims renters (including cowboy guy from the trailer) who are triggered into play when you are a landlord evaluating rental applications. So if you are not moving in your own sims, you can fill buildings with them and they are not in manage households at all as housed or unhoused/played or unplayed. Also the secrets, lamely, aren’t sim specific but a randomly assigned list of like 30 secrets where if you ‘learn all the secrets’ with the nosey trait there is some reward. Some of the secrets are Tomerang specific, but you could learn them from like Eliza Pancakes (makes no sense)! I see people ignoring this over time as it’s not real drama. You can have a sim who has literally slept with everyone’s wife and get a secret from him about trash or something. Because it’s randomly generated pre-coded. It’s basically a fetch-quest feature with no depth.

I feel like gradually reducing the amount of content in packs could be a way for the game makers to get players used to expecting less, so when Sims 5 is released they hope people will be happy paying for individual items (like £10 for a new lot, or for rain to be added to the game etc 😂) hopefully I'm wrong!!

What do you expect? They recolored basic stuffs and called it a pack. Now that is how EA got the name the biggest leach human has ever found

They claim it's for low end pcs and yet charge an amount that people with low end pcs most likely can't afford without giving up on something else. With my job it would probably be a couple of days of some nice food vs a sims pack that literally has one feature like you said x)

no youre right, this isnt a sims game because it WASNT meant to be a sims game. the sims 4 started as project olympus. they wanted an online mmo. and when they realized that shit wasnt gonna work they basically scrapped the game and started from scratch like motnhs before the release date. its lasckluster because it was NEVER designged to be a sims game! now, with porject rene, aka sims 5, aka a free to play multiplayer experience....it seems like they still havent learned their lessosn.

I think its EA, saying “get rid of this get rid of that make it less for more money so we can milk it”.

Exactly! I’ve recently redownloaded TS3 and it’s so so good, I’d forgotten just how incredible this franchise used to be. I only have 1 EP and 1 stuff pack installed but even base game is better than 4! I’m literally only keeping it for building in now because I own 44 packs and that’s not even close to all of them. I’ll pirate them all on my laptop, no way am I giving EA more money for this shite

@@amiinewzemii7793 Yeah I have spend a lot of my teen years playing TS3 and I actually didn't start playing TS4 for a very long time after it was released and just stuck with TS3. Simply because it is just a much better game objectively. Yes it is laggy and that sucks and obviously it's from 2009 so it sadly doesn't really fit the times anymore but if they made TS4 just a revamp of TS3 with better Art style and Performance I would have been much happier than whatever TS4 is. It was cursed from the start and they are just not making it any better. At this point I simply hope that TS5 will be better but honestly... I don't really think it will be.

I would scrap the whole world theme, create just a gamepack about apartments and multi-functional lots. Its okay a rabbit hole as a bonus thing, but they announced the animal sanctuary as feature of the pack.

So they are really reusing the code of city living apartments and just make the UI visible. And I thought they would update apartmens with the "new groudbreaking" rental lots.

I feel like the people at fault are not the developers here. I have been working in a similar industry for years now and usually when anything isnt as good as you expect, not matter what, the reason is not because the person making it is bad at what they do or because they don't want to make something good, it's because they don't get enough ressources from tev employer or whatever. I'm 99% sure that EA doesn't fund the Sims enough and doesn't give them enough time to actually develop something good. So without time and money, this is what happens. Just to be clear I don't certainly know this but I'm almost sure.

I thought it was interesting that the world map was leaked with three empty lots, and then during the livestream, the lead designer made some comment about the lead producer having created the building on the previously empty lot in the town center. I'm guessing they added that build last-minute due to reactions to the leak.

I really saw how creators changed their opinion after they got this ea partnership. They really like oh these loading screens again, but there is so much gameplay there (where with all those rabbit holes?), city is so nice (boring) so overall I really liked this pack, thank you ea for early access, dont forget to use my ea code to support me. Their opinion felt honest earlier, but after the deal they are changing for those bland ea supporters. Not like I am the ea hater, but I think this pack shouldnt be a pack and it really doesnt add so many gameplay etc.

To be fair she is having like max 15 seconds loading screens when i will be having 2+ minutes loading screens cause i have a weak laptop , if I would have 15 seconds loading screens I wouldn't be that annoyed either but I know how it'll work in my game. She complained on one loading screen on stream tho(when you want to burgle x sim house,you'll get 1st loading screen to get on a lot and 2nd loading screen to start an event of burglaring ). Those loading screens are too much for me , I just hate them so I won't buy a pack in near future.But the world isn't that bad.

Let me tell you what would've happened if it was a game pack. -People would complain about a small world for a lot type pack -Complaints about South East Asian world being small -Complains about not enough build/buy for a build pack -Saying it's not enough and should've been hotels -Saying it should've been in city living even though it came out like 8 years ago
