Welcome to Herding little Cows to the glory of God
We're not your typical family, and this isn't the typical KZfaq channel. Sara and Mark live on the coast of Maine and have been married for over 20 years and as of this writing (May ‘24) recently welcomed our 10th child , Elisha Courage, home. We believe that children are a blessing from the Lord and that marriage is a gift to be celebrated as well as a relationship to be invested in.
Content on our channel ranges from pregnancy and birth stories to therapy strategies for children with brain injuries. We talk about home education, sing hymns, and share the simple joy of childhood.
In a nutshell, we open up our lives and our homes in hopes that our experiences can be a help to others walking through challenges. If this sounds like something that would benefit you, then we encourage you to subscribe here on KZfaq as well as following us on Facebook.
If we can be of assistance to you, can answer your questions, or you just want to say Hello, then throw a message in the comments section or reach out via Messenger. We post on Facebook regularly with what we're studying in God's Word each day, hymns we sing together, and lots of fun pictures and video along with encouragement in the Christian walk.

Prayers for you I was wondering if maybe a stroller for times when you need an extra hand just a small one you can have with you would be helpful. Plus it might be helpful for Josiah to hold on to it as well when you have to cross a parking lot etc I had a special needs child and would have him help me push it You don’t have to put the baby in it unless it’s absolutely necessary but you would have it In case you needed to momentarily put the baby down ❤🙏
@HerdingLittleCows
@HerdingLittleCows Ай бұрын
That is a great idea. It wouldn’t work yet as the stroller I have is still a little too big for him. It doesn’t lay down flat enough. But in a few months it would be a great help. We also have a wheel chair that we take sometimes that Josiah fits in. It is adult sized so we take it for field trips to carry our stuff and it can carry a person if necessary. I use it to sit in for nursing babies sometimes

I also believe that children are a blessing from God. But if i just go and walk across the road without looking first and then i get hit and killed, was it Gods will for me to die ? Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Why do you control all other areas of your life - eating, sleeping, crossing the road, etc, but the reproduction area of your life is totally in God's hands ?
@HerdingLittleCows
@HerdingLittleCows Ай бұрын
Thank you for your question, I’ll try to explain our view briefly here in the comments. I think it’s actually a misunderstanding of how God’s sovereignty works. Eating is expected in the Bible, sleep/rest are commended in the Bible, and accepting children as gifts from God is the expectation throughout the Bible. Irresponsibility in crossing the road could result in your death, whereas new life and children result in blessing rather than death. Rather most forms of “birth control” have primary mechanisms of preventing conception, but also have secondary mechanisms that do harm or cause death to the living children already created in the womb. If one was genuinely interested in efficacy of birth control, the only option is abstaining from sexual intimacy. However, 1 Corinthians 7 tells us that as a married couple, it is wrong for us to intentionally avoid marital intimacy except for a time of prayer and fasting. Birth control of multiple forms existed even in the ancient world, so it’s also not a matter of historical ignorance of the means of preventing pregnancy. Rather it affirms the teaching of the Old Testament which always sees children as a blessing, even when those children are born to families in hard situations.

WHY? all the disabilities??? Are these environmental (mold, chemicals, source of water)? Have you tried eliminating all the common allergens in your family's diet? (wheat, dairy & refined sugar) Listen to a few of Barbara O'Neill's lectures on KZfaq - she teaches how "our bodies heal themselves given the right conditions."
@HerdingLittleCows
@HerdingLittleCows Ай бұрын
Thank you for your question. Other videos explain our situation more fully, but I’ll try to give a brief answer here. Sara, Samuel, and Malachi have a genetic condition that has nothing to do with environment. Mark has had 7 concussions that have contributed to his situation. Josiah had a stroke in the womb and his situation is due to the effects of that stroke. We have tried diets and supplements as you mentioned over the course of years and seen no help. We’ve lived in multiple homes in a few states, so it’s not the house. We’ve read the books, watched the videos, and taken training courses from the Family Hope Center which we have appreciated immensely. The fact is, that some conditions will not be healed until we reach Heaven, where we will be in the presence of Jesus and know no more suffering, pain, or weakness. But in the meantime we have actually had innumerable opportunities to help and encourage others to rest in the grace of God. It has been in the greatest trials that we find the greatest comfort in the Lord. “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass he will pass away. For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. So also will the rich man fade away in the midst of his pursuits. Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” ‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬-‭5‬, ‭9‬-‭12‬ ‭ESV‬‬ bible.com/bible/59/jas.1.2-12.ESV

Naomi is driving for us today and should be back to full health in the near future. We don’t need a driver or nanny, but rather we wanted to explain why we do things the way we do. The Lord has been very gracious in helping us with these challenges, and we are so thankful for His provision. Thank you for your comment.
