In regards to the coffee discussion: There is no right or wrong way to make a cup of coffee. There are only those who are snarky enough to administer their personal preference without ulterior consideration. As with all things discussed when it comes to food: its a subjective and completely arbitrary thing to be hung up over. My taste buds will not be identical to your taste buds, thus my idea of a cup of coffee will reflect what my taste buds prefer. Be it Aero Pressed, French Press, Dripped, Cold Brewed, Siphoned, or Espressos. There is no "right" or "wrong" cup of coffee, and you shouldn't be so soft to let other peoples subjective opinion of food stop you from partaking in something you enjoy, or change how you like to enjoy something.

I'm 63 and having grown up in western Michigan on a dirt dead end road with nobody my age around, I have done well over my ten thousand hours in the woods. I've known all along that Blacks are Grays. Not one time have I ever seen a Fox Squirrell have any romantic notions towards a Gray. I'm not even sure I've seen them share the same tree.

I hunt on public land around Brookville Lake in Indiana. Most educated birds in the world. Opening day is a nightmare. When a bird gobbles don’t think you are the only hunter on that bird. I archery hunt and was on a bird in a power line clearing. Someone shot the bird I was on. Walked out of the woods and had a guy on both sides of me walk out after the shot. Neither one was the hunter who shot. So there was at least 4 of us on that one bird. The guy to my right said well I don’t guess it was you who shot. Because I was carrying a bear recurve.

@Meateater I know you make money off of the ads provided by KZfaq and it shows the popularity of the show by how many ads the can cram into and episode but for the Love God can y'all back some of them off. I am getting an ad about every 10 minutes, which is very distracting to the flow of the show.

I know I’m late and just talking to myself. This Wyoming thing, it’s horrible. I could benefit off of this and buy land over there to make a small “plantation” and try to get the large game there to harvest on private land, and get 150% of what the crop would have been worth even though it was really just a food plot. This can’t go through, and it would never even affect me, seeing as how I’m an east coast man.

Good lord, Rinella is a Carlson and Putin apologist. Is MeatEater really diving in on the Russian side now? They way Rinella subtly derides the overall opinion of that interview and feeds it to the presumably Fox watching / MeatEater target audience just adds fuel to the fire. I did watch the interview. Ask Janis what his Latvian relatives think of that interview and the invasion. Sadly, Rinella has surrounded himself with people who have to agree with him because they need to keep that paycheck. Not a dissenting opinion from anyone on the team on any topic. Except for Kimi. She called Rinella out.

For goodness sake, fellas, please stop using the word "phase" when speaking abut colour morphs. "Phase" is the correct term to use when talking about an animal that changes its colour throughout its life cycle (i.e. seasonally), such as a snowshoe hare or rock ptarmigan. "Morph" is the proper term to use when referring to the colour of an animal that is a variant from its normal phenotype, and stays that way for life, such as a black eastern grey squirrel.

First of all it’s a double O sound, Boowie. Not like the singer Bowie. Secondly, maybe David Crockett died surrendering to Santa Anna, but cowering in the corner he didn’t. Be careful stepping on Texas heroes and legends, we’re pretty damned proud of them. Especially those of us whose ancestors fought for independence.
@Delmiester

You’re not getting the joke then, it’s all speculation anyway to what exactly happened and the grief is in line with everyone from Texas thinking “everything is bigger in Texas” and then pointing to Alaska because it’s funny to ruffle their feathers.
