2015 Kia Soul manual transmission owner who fell victim to the Kia Boys. The install took me just over 2 hours because I struggled a bit with the trim and brake switch connector. More screws in the lower panel on the left side, and you have to remove the side panel first even though it doesn't look like it. The brake switch connector is behind a bunch of other wires and bars higher up in the assembly than what's seen in this video. Definitely need a good light and back to see what you're doing because it doesn't drop much below the other wires, so you'll have to really get under there. Overall, I'm really happy with the end result despite the difficulties.

Just finished this install on my Sonata. It's a great, well put together kit, install was easy enough. Routing the wiring for a clean install was probably the hardest part in reality.

I just did the conversion on my 2020 Forte. Took me just over 2 hours to get this done, the most difficult part being getting the steering wheel lock removed. Absolutely worth it though for the added peace of mind it gives me.

Just finished an installation into my wife's 2016 Soul and I am very happy with how it turned out. The Hyundai/Kia install video was extremely helpful and other than minor differences due to the car in the video being a Genesis Coupe, it went exactly as shown. Just take your time and your results should be like mine. One small tip: screenshot the frame in the video showing the different brake light switches for easy reference to find the correct wire to tap into.

I put it off for a long while because I was scared I'd mess it up. But just finished. Took about 2 hours. Break switch was more difficult than I thought it would be. But the work is done and I'm so happy. Thanks guys! Fantastic product. Worked perfectly

Just completed the install today on my 2016 Hyundai Accent. Here are my thoughts/findings: The Accent is a very small car compared to other hyundai sedans. there is limited room in the lower dash trim so I opted to use the original existing key ignition hole to install my push button. The trim pieces are pretty different from the example in the video. The left side has nothing to grip on to so we just pried it out. The trim over top of the steering wheel is connected with faux leather and I didn’t feel comfortable taking it off, so I simply taped the piece up to keep it out of the way. The metal panel they mention in this video is actually plastic in the 16 Accent, so no worries about this piece affecting signal strength! The trickiest part was finding extra screws and connections that needed to be undone that aren’t featured in this video… and then putting them back together at the end 😂 Also found that unscrewing and disconnecting the steering wheel lock mechanism means that this piece is just ‘floating’ around in there, useless. Lots of zip ties are included in the kit though so we neatly secured it out of the way. The brake switch was hard to get to just because of its positioning. After referencing the video examples several times, we correctly determined that the wire needed for this job is light pink with a black stripe. In the end, it was a successful install that took about 2 hours with the help of someone who knows how to work on cars but had never worked in the dash area before. My car starts with the press of a button and I feel so much better knowing that a massive liability has been taken care of. 🙏🏻

Installation would have taken a hr if it wasnt for finding the kill switch location and making everything like a factory install routing and hiding the wiring and making a bracket to mount the main unit to. When finished, I was very pleased! ✊️🥰 💯

Just completed this on my Kia Forte 2021. Here are my findings. Getting through the trim is easy, but it is different a little bit from the video. Just keep finding screws and pop pieces off. Take pictures of what the wires are attached to for future reference. You will have a couple of lose wires dangling at the end that originally were attached to the metal key assembly. I also had to use a Dremel with the grinding bit to make notches in the headless bolts for use with a flathead screwdriver. It's tight if you do this (still try not to) wear goggles/gloves, do dry runs, and make sure you understand how the machine responds, and have a finger on the kill switch at all times. The brake thing is impossible to mess with unless you get on your back and slide underneath it. Do the wire splicing from there as well. Way too tight and blocked by a bunch of stuff if you go in from the front door. Headlamp is advised. The ground thing can go on one of the metal bolts on another random box or wherever you see that fits. I did it on a bolt on the left-front side near the fuse panel. It is required to be used. Best place to mount the stuff is in the bottom wide plastic trim I found, detector and box.

I just did this install on a 2012 kia soul. Video helped for the most part. Some disassembly of panels was different and brake switch connector was a pita, very tight area. Overall great kit. Plug and play as described. Only question i have is what is the hard card for that comes with the keys?

Forte 2014 LX owners. The brake switch is the middle photo. It doesn't look like it you'll have to remove the 90* plastic bend and cut back 2" of plastic to splice into the gray wire. I used black ABS hot glue for the placement and gorilla tape for security. Test frequently is my best advice. Always disconnect battery. Using a flat head driver and hammer easily removes the ignition cylinder.

For anyone who is having trouble getting those two headless screws off, I resorted to using a dremel with a metal cutting bit to turn them into flathead screws. The chisel hammer technique didn’t work for me.

You don't show mounting the module. Is there a bracket it fastens to, or are holes drilled and fastened that way? The video should be longer and more detailed, instead of just speeding through the process.

As a person looking this up I just wanted to inform you your descriptions and advertising can be confusing to some people. I confused "Plug and Play Push to Start Conversion" to this equipment is for push to start vehicles (and spent 15 minutes looking for key ignition version). Obviously not that same but other people might make the same mistake. Just wanted to let you guys know. You'd be surprised if you asked AI to give 30 different titles or phrases to convey something. great tech tho!
