Being one who records whilst they work and edits in the twilight hours. I know the difficulties and how much effort goes into making these videos. Material like this is undervalued. Education has changed so much with KZfaq. Society are gaining the equivalent of a KZfaq plumbing degree. It's good when it's used for something positive like making individuals better engineers. Onsite experience is vital as well as real qualifications. Yet this media stream and experience passed on is helping nations strive to better engineering standards. It would have been a game changer if I had some of these videos when I initially qualified as a plumber 13 years ago. There was hardly anything like this to watch. It's great that the information is there for those that are thirsty to grow in their knowledge of the trade.

Get in do the repair and on to the next job....I also love the Fatmax deep organiser boxes and can find anything I need within a minute , top notch gear , been thinking about getting a Veto tote bag like the one you have , do you think they are worth the money....? cheers mate and I look forward to more vids.....👍

Only thing I didn't like and would question the ease of access if that Stanley toolbox on the top right at the rear of your van. With so much weight it must be a bugger to lift it up unless you don't use it often. Very good diy racking though well done

Hardly a BIG box of boiler spares more like a drop in the ocean young fella. Trust me in a couple of years you will be looking back wondering how you worked out of such a small vehicle.You have the right idea though have the spares in the van it makes your life easier and impresses the client that you have all materials at hand.My van is basically a mobile plumbers merchants which is the only way to go if your jobbing doing 4 or 5 jobs a day.If you dont carry the stock you will be cheating yourself out of a couple of jobs per day.I can see you in a swb sprinter soon.😀

I only have one question, how do you charge this preparation? cause it seems that once you get on a site you won't leave till it's resolved...so no extra time in going to the shop to buy materials.... I am an electrician and I do the same thing... always over prepared ..

"No tools left in van overnight" The buggers will still smash yer locks in and wrench open your doors. They'll av a gawp inside, see there's nowt worth nicking and bugger off wi nowt, but leave you with a big bill to fix the bloody locks. One Shot.. resurrect the plate to plate with the acid (Weissman) carry new o rings and bill the customer for a new p2p when they don't have the boiler serviced and invalidate the extended warrantee, even after you reminded them to. Sorry for the whinge, but I'm working in Rotherham, Monday for a penny pinching p p p proverbial.

Be careful with the rubbish in the cab because you can get done for not having (the right) waste carriers license.

It’s a works van, organised to the boss the way he like it. But, advertising on the van is for me a no no, your basically advertising what’s in your van. I’ve got a small van unmarked so I could be anyone. Van break ins are on the rise, the only way to stop thing from touching your pride and joy and thousands of pounds, is to fit a separate alarm with proximity sensor, reason why is, if someone stands by your van for 2seconds it will chirp, stand near for longer the alarm will sound so offenders will run off with no damage. And get the two side windows double filmed in and out. Dead bolts don’t really work, if someone wants something really bad, they go for the weakest parts of the back doors and it’s quiet simple to do this. But, it’s a nice van the guy must be proud of. His bread and butter.....
@megaman18064 жыл бұрын
Some plumbers are actually marking their vans as dog walkers and florists lol. C'mon it must work, right?
@robtno14 жыл бұрын
Was on a job last week the carpenter has a plain van and got everything nicked out of his van. It doesn’t matter if it’s sign written or not thieves will see you and take their opportunity. It’s a sad fact but some insurance view sign written vans differently they feel they’re less likely to be nicked . Get some van locks a good alarm and immobiliser even can go as far as cameras .
@megaman18064 жыл бұрын
@@robtno1 I hear what you're saying but it doesn't change the fact that it is LESS likely you will get robbed. If there are 6 vans on a road 5 marked one unmarked and a thief can only choose one for a guaranteed payout I doubt he will be picking the unmarked van. however, if the unmarked van is on the street alone he will fancy his chances.
@jonnymarshall38284 жыл бұрын
The back of the van is set up good but come on, the front is just a shit hole, I have been in the trade for over 20 years and always thought, if your van is a mess -- your work is a mess , would you show your new customer the front of your van/office before you give a quote?
