I'll give you the logical answer for that, throughout 75 years of our independence, congress has strengthened their roots so strong that, BJP had to manipulate the media otherwise BJP wouldn't even stand a chance therefore be overthrown exactly like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, It's all business, only those are hurt who become a fodder of the manipulation. Through a wider perspective, every party is manipulating you in some way. Even out of power, Congress is so powerful that the only type of discrimination you see is BJP's religion-based discrimination whereas congress has divided our community in infinite number of classes, rich-poor, educated-uneducated, upper caste-lower caste. if you'd be in his shoes, you also wouldn't want to lose. elections are a contest that must be won by hook or crook.
