Have such respect for these three men (and many more with similar journeys). We're lucky to have them in our lives and involved in our project. My best description of it comes not in english but is a Bantu word used in many sub-Saharan African languages - Ubuntu - meaning "I am because you are". Your brilliance, kindness, resilience and support is so appreciated personally and professionally.

Anything can be addictive. I think one of the biggest addictions at the moment is smartphones and social media. I'm addicted to the 2 Norries podcasts at the moment but thats a good addiction 😆

I agree with ye about the concept of having a dog to aid someone in recovery. I also rescued a staffy around a year before I started my sobriety James. I'm just over 4.5 years into recovery and the bond I have with my dog has helped me immensely. Especially during the beginning process when loneliness and isolation from friends is a major factor. I identify with yer talk about education as well. I also done the applied psychology & social studies course in college of com last year and now I'm in my 1st year of a psychology degree in ucc. Thanks for the the podcasts lads please keep em coming

Timmy, The wild, crazy (not so much anymore) South African girl ("Gina") says hi. Stumbled across your podcasts a few hours ago, been watching ever since. I am in awe. All those nights spent partying together and I didn't know any of your story. Well done. Proud of you mate. Have thought of you often through the years. Often asked Crean about you. Would love to reconnect and catch up. Life has turned out very different to what either of us expected. You are such an awesome inspiration. May you continue to go from strength to strength. PS: Look into getting a podcast done with Shaun Atwood, I have already recommended you to him. Take care. Hope to hear from you soon.

@@timothylong9906 I have been catching up on your podcasts every spare moment I have. I really commend you lads on the work you are doing. Your transformation is mind-blowing and to say well done is an understandment to all you have achieved. You have motivated and inspired me to tell my story. I can relate, on so many levels. Your podcasts have helped me better understand myself and some of the choices and decisions I have made along the way. Life sure has dealt me a couple of hands (the loss of my baby sister, 6 years ago and being diagnosed with cancer, 2 years ago, to mention a few) but I don't allow much to get me down for too long - like you, I too am a fighter. Know you are touching souls all the way in South Africa.

@@timothylong9906 Thank you so much. Seeing this version of yourself is a breath of fresh air. Even the Timmy back then, to me, was always a lad with alot of heart and I have nothing but fond memories of you. Who knows, soon you may see me doing podcasts of my own - yes, you truly have inspired me that much. God willing, some day again, I will return to Ireland and once more we will meet - the new, improved versions of ourselves that we have become and are. Truth me told, my heart is still in Cork. Will definitely stay in touch - would be awesome to exchange ideas with you in the future.

It’s great to hear a man who actually experienced the hard times, who lifted his spirits to become a expert in the world of sex addiction because it’s a difficult subject to address,it’s a colossal nightmare situation, embarrassment, shame, low self esteem, disgust fear, suicidal thoughts,,
