My bestie in first grade was from India - her father was at the university to get his masters degree. When she left - I couldn't grasp the concept of a real "goodbye." I adapted - and made more friends. Now that I'm much older - I look back on each of those foreigner friendships with pure joy. Kids adapt - adults reflect. It's all good.

Hola amigos, My first time watching your video, specifically this video and being a Mexican national I do not agree with your opinion regarding why people come and go to PV. My wife and I have visited PV for extended stays every other year since 2010 and one of the main reasons foreigners leave is PV is a tourist destination first and foremost. Secondly, it is a expat haven from December through March as expats don’t want to stay during the months of April through mid-November due the high humidity and heat. Other reasons include expats find Mexico an extremely different culture and lifestyle to live and navigate long term, expats miss their families back in the USA and most expats do not try to learn Spanish to interact daily with us Mexicans as they mostly associate with other expats only. I could go on and on but most expats do not want to live as us Mexicans as they want the comforts of of their home country and they try to make it that way in PV and it’s not the same. Last of all, PV is expensive and has become a tourist trap with high prices which is not a draw for many of us Mexicans. Once you have done all the tourist things, eaten in all the wonderful restaurants and seen or swam in the bay, PV doesn’t leave much else to do. It does not have museums, quality concerts, symphonies, etc to offer which you can find in other non-tourists cities in Mexico. PV is a wonderful place to visit and enjoy but there are much better places to live in Mexico and at a lot lower cost. Enjoy your time there as I would speculate it’s not going to be your long term home for your family as you will grow tired of tourists and HIGH prices. Hasta Luego mi amigos from another country 😊

Correct me if Im wrong but we didn’t really share our opinion on why people come and go… we said we will make another video about it and most of the points you bring up are absolutely correct lol We’re also not claiming that PV will be our forever home but we sure do love it here. We don’t need anything a big city has to offer and would much prefer to visit them vs. Live in them. We’re pretty simple people, love the ocean and the beach 🤙🏼

Living in PV with a young child without a car definitely has it’s challenges. Firstly, if you want to go to the beach you have to lug all your beach stuff either on a bus or in an uber/taxi. Busses are unpredictable in regard to capacity and timing so we don’t even try. But let me tell ya’ll something that I think you should mention in one of your tips videos… We have gotten bad ratings from uber because when they picked us up from the beach we were sandy and probably damp lol I totally get the negative rating. We obviously tried to clean off as best as possible but I haven’t come across a beach in PV that has a shower/change station so truly it’s difficult to fully clean off after the beach. Not saying it’s the uber driver’s fault for being upsetting and rating us poorly but, it’s something to consider for non car owners. We now carry a bad uber rating for life lol no redemption 😭 don’t be us and learn from our mistakes hahaha. Better off taking a taxi back if you can but that poses challenges as well. Anyway, this is just skimming the surface and I’ve already said a mouthful. ***On another note can ya’ll go to a Mexican sushi place like Sushi In House in Versalles and tell us what you think?! Maybe we can tag along 😂

Thanks for sharing and we’ve gotten rejected by taxi’s for being sandy a time when we didn’t drive to the beach lol you’d think they’d be used to it driving. In a beach town!!! Yes need to get Mexican Sushi LETS GOOOO!!!

Ideas to do for your mom- I really loved the Vallarta aventures day trip to San Sebastián del Oeste. Entire day of interesting activities including pastry shop on the way, coffee, silver shop, and tequila tasting. The guides were amazing and we learned so much history of the region I, and he was also hilariously funny. Another amazing day trip is the botanical gardens. Enjoy!

Funny you say that, because I would love to see you live from a tourist point of view and help us figure out how to get around, where to get groceries near by, day trips from your Airbnb, etc. I find it so hard planning from the hotel zone because all the information seems to be focused on the downtown/romantic zone areas.

Yes we’re planning a few episodes with itineraries for our tourist viewers 🙌🏼 in terms of things to do in Hotel Zone it’s limited - sunset at playa del holi, lunch in El Pitillal, dinner in Versalles. Most things will require transportation

Not to nit-pick, but the supermarket isn't la "Comer" (as in the verb "to eat"). Comer is short for its full name "Comercial Mexicana". The accent is on the FIRST syllable.

I like the video but was wondering if when filming in a place like Costco does one need permission from Costco Inc beforehand ? . I know of KZfaqrs who were making videos in a mall store in Mexico were seen and told them not to do it

first of all, set looks dope. I think PV is one of the prettiest coastal cities in the world. So much old world charm, the bahia is stunning, and you're right... PV has a little bit of everything. If it wasn't for my surfing addiction I'd rather live in a place like PV than even here in San Pancho tbh lol

Thank you - green lightstrip behind the tv and we're talking big views after that Lol It's very convenient to live here and beautiful in every way! I think a lot of folks generalize PV from what they've seen as tourist during their short stays. I have yet to speak to someone that lives here that doesn't love it - local or foreigner!

I found the prices for shirts in PV buying them in regular mall stores to be about the same I found in Monterrey and Queretaro, that is to say fairly cheap compared to the US, talking about $10 to $12 a shirt.
@Morelifediaries
@Morelifediaries 4 ай бұрын
Ya it really depends where. The H&M here seems to be the exact same price as USA or CAD. Made in Mexico T-shirts will most likely be the same price in most of Mexico.
@hoppeanofasgard1365
@hoppeanofasgard1365 4 ай бұрын
@@Morelifediaries Yes, I believe these were Mexican brands. It stands to reason that US brands would be the same price, those companies charge a minimum for their products no matter where they're being shipped too, heck the shipping charges might even make them a little more in Mexico. I think I remember seeing Levis going for 50 to 55 in a lot of storesin Mexico when in the US you can get them for $45! moral of the story there is just stick to Mexican brands, or if you absolutely must have American cloths try to buy them in America when you do a return trip to see family and friends, just make cloths shopping a part of that.

@@Morelifediaries That makes sense, most Mexicans seem to choose Soriana over any of the other big name ones. I've also seen someone else's video about getting $4 a kilo ground beef there and that's certainly less than ground beef in the US.
