I had to use one and came across that same issue. I ended up using a flange extension on top of this offset flange to cover any gap

From personal experience, this type of offset flange is a nightmare to seal properly. Terrible design

1- how do you set the wax ring on that? 2- so you can turn the flange like that?

Having to deal with this now and it's a real pain the butt. This style of offset flange doesn't work with regular wax rings, so you end up having to get a couple of rings and mold it to shape. Also, the water comes out of the toilet and hits that inner "shelf", which ends up putting water pressure against the wax and the wax will fail within 3-5 years (this is my second time doing it on this toilet). You can get offset flanges that have a regular size inlet that works directly with regular wax (or no-wax) rings. If you need one, look for that style and save yourself a lot of headaches.

@@kencraig2796 Excellent reply. We are dealing with this same stupid (Black Swan?) offset flange. What a nightmare. Plan is to replace with a "real" offset flange.

Here's a serious question. That 2" sway either way will make the drain that much smaller. If I deuce pretty big won't it clog ?

why do you turn comments off on your videos? I came across the same flange and im like this is dumb as hell. I saw a website offers a rubber gasket for it. I'm calling the manufacturer on monday

This flange is absolute junk way to offset a toilet. buy the proper plumbing offset flange and then you can seal the closet properly. Someone used this in my new home even though no offset was required and now I have a couple thousand dollars water and crap damage to fix. JUNK!
