i remove every keycap and clean with a toothbrush and some random soft brush and then clean all keycaps while putting them on with a wet wipe, I do this once a week and once a month i remove every switch and deepclean it xD

I like to take all the key caps off and use anti static alchohol wipes and then use my set of OXO keyboard cleaning kit about once every year and a half or sometimes longer, i keep my keyboards pretty clean.

1. Take the kepcaps off and soak them in dawn + water solution 2. Use a vacuum on the raw keyless keyboard 3. Isopropyl alcohol and q-tips and stained sports 4. PUT IT BACK TOGETHER!!!

This actually doesn't work at all. You have to remove all the keycaps then get between switches and wipe everything down

Basically just get an air duster for 90% of cases and use alcohol wipes for any gunk. Pull your key caps if you’re cleaning gunk tho to not damage the keycaps or switches.

I just put mine in the dishwasher with no soap. Then let air dry with a fan. Never had an issue for the past 14 years

And what happened to the simple and straightforward - remove all the keycaps, blow the board with compressed air(or simpy use some napkins), soak the keycaps in water with dish soap, take out the keycaps hour later and let them dry? Its like 10x times cheaper and 10x times more effective.

For those who actually wants to know how: 1: Remove keycaps 2: use air duster 3:wipe the PCB and the keycaps with baby wipes or a damp cloth 4: use a new dry cloth and patt everything dry 5: assemble

Not all clean. Take off the keycaps and actually clean inside the keyboard. You're only getting the surface clean. For a more thorough clean, you need to take off all the caps and clean around the switches. Yes, it might be a pain to put all the caps back on, but it's worth it to really get all the dirt and crap off. Just get a picture of your specific model of keyboard from the internet and that will help you.
