First. I remember having a Crobat but its tragic loss along with my Infernape and Staraptor as well as all the rest are lost in my diamond game. Love the videos. I'm working on a game playing through Gen I to Gen VIII. I love the games and plan to use old members of my team like Pikachu and many others I have on my team only to replace them for newer members. I love knowing what happened to members of teams from the anime cuz I always question what happened to them. I enjoy the videos.

It’s important to note that when Golbat evolved, it wasn’t just that he wanted to catch team rocket but Brock encouraged him that he could do it. I need that kind of validation 😭

That’s part of the reason I caught a Zubat in each game. That and I just thought bats were cool… 😁 With that said, it was pretty annoying running into them so many times… 😓

I found Staryu and Starmie to be pretty expressive through their body language and their glowing core. They were a bit alien but that kinda is the point with those two. So I don't see why they couldn't give Zubat a personality either.

Crobat is one of my staple pokemon team since gen 2-5. Fast, good attack stats, nice movepool, and cool design. (I can't believe this mon is 1.8m tall)

I remember that Zubat was my first ever shiny at Ruby, I had no idea shinys even existed... I was so confused and captured it and after time (no idea about Golbat evolving with friendship too) had my pink Crobat ready for the Elite 4 :´)

That’s awesome! My first was a psyduck! I thought something was wrong with it and it would go back to normal if I caught it. One capture and 20 soft resets later and turns out he was here to stay lol

Kinda of expectation Steelix or Geodude to take Forretress's place during his return from Hoenn before moving on to the Battle Frontier!

I'm not sure the rationale of taking Forretress to Hoenn. Geodude could have gone and evolved :/ Steelix at least got massive redemption in Sun and Moon with its Mega Form

It annoys me when a character just toss out a new Pokémon and expect us to just accept that they capture the Pokémon off screen. We were watching the whole even and not one time it even show Brock was interested in catching a zubat.

I just love Crobat (he is super cool) and always get out of my way to have it on my main Pokémon party, ever since playing Pokémon Gold on Gameboy Color (the good old days). Currently playing Brilliant Diamond and he is in my main party, of course.

@@ProfessorAlexSilver Hmmmm... Dart (you know who, lol) I caught one in the Granite Cave while playing Emerald, and just couldn't find out why everybody is annoyed with Zubats. Played through and it ended up evolving. I didn't even know Golbat would evolve. It was a nice surprise, and a few months later I learned why it evolved, so I held it dear until today...

Brock's Golbat was the ultimate wingman and as Crobat he became the Batman of his team. And he had the best character development as well

Ever since gen 2, I've always had Crobat on my A team. Not having watched the anime at the time of its release or even spoiled any of the new Johto Pokemon before playing Gold, watching my Golbat suddenly evolve into a new Pokemon was an absolute shock. Easily my top 10 favorite.

I don't think they thought that far ahead for Crobat's evolution, especially considering Zubat's capture was off-screen, it seemed more like a writer's convenience. It wasn't something like Aipom whose capture was directly a marketing ploy to showcase its evolution in Sinnoh. It did ultimately work out in the end though.

I loved getting Crobat in Gold/Silver, I love cross-gen evolutions

I do like that most of Brock's pokemon (after leaving the rock gym) can be used for medical purposes. Crobat can use super sonic like an X-ray (as super sonic works with equipment in the pokemon world 4:53). Groagunk's poison can be used for medicine. According to Shield's description of Groagunk. Comfey and Chansey has healing moves. Marchtomp and Ludicolo both has water type attacks and will be usefull to cool down patients. Sadly I don't know any roles for Sudowoodo, Steelix, geodude or Fortress except maybe the gym as all are steel and rock types. Would be cool if Brock gets called in and tells Steelix of "Steelix can you use dig and take me to arround this area" like an ambulance xD. The others are there purely for their strength, Sudowoodo and Geodude could help carrying patients and Fortress is big so he could be the operating table in a pinch.

Another one of my all time favorite Pokémon. I have 2 Crobats in my Pokémon Banks. My strongest one is from back in Gen 3 Emerald version. Then the second one is from Soul Silver.

Poison, dark, and ghost are considered the evil criminal organization type of Pokemon. That's why none of them hardly ever owned one. Crobat was mostly used for scouting or flying type moves. Poison is considered evil so it won't be used by the "good guys." I don't think even Brock's Croagunk used a poison move unless it was required in some way.

I remember years ago playing Pokemon Pearl I was going through a cave and decided to give Zubat a chance when one showed instead of just running from it like usual. Caught him had him on my team and used him in many battles. I remember when he evolved into Golbat how hug he was against Maylene. He leveled up in that battle, but was unlucky in the end and got hit with a crit and fainted. After the battle I'll never forget how surprised I was when my fainted Golbat evolved. Even more surprised/touched when I found out he evolved through happiness. That was kinda funny to me considering he fainted and that lowers happiness.

I think Crobat should become shiny learning fire moves and learn fire spin , fire fang and then astonish and maybe Night shade and can gigamax to use secret power maybe even Giga drain I think these moves not only work for Crobat but could be useful outside of battle and would look awesome to see animated! Z moves life force (a move that is as powerful as the weight of the Pokemon ) and with silver wing aerial ace

Another cool Pokemon as well as another victim of a Pokemon belonging to Brock rarely getting to showcase its power beyond fights with Team Rocket. It makes me real glad they stopped putting Team Rocket in every episode in Black and White cause it forced the writers to be more creative with showcasing the abilties of Pokemon owned by Ash's helper companions from that point onward. Regardless Crobat will always hold a place in my heart as one of the many neat Pokemon that group traveled with in Johto that didn't get the love they deserved back then just by virtue of the writers not being as practiced with characterization at the time.

the moveset for crobat maybe be supersonic nasty plot sludge bomb and airslash confusion might let crobat get a free set up and plus the 30% flinch rate from airslash it could be very annoying to battle and it has amazing speed so it will go firs most of the time

It's cool how Brock's Zubat/Golbat/Crobat's only real defeat is to the Flaffy, while the other two times it was heavily outnumbered.

If the Crobat evolutionary line have a regional form I would give it the Dark flying type because 🦇 live in dark caves it will adapt its environment and make sense

I played Pokemon Sapphire many times but I was never ever able to evolve my Golbat into Crobat even though it has Soothe Bell attached to it (I manage to not let it faint). Really time consuming.
