I remember Pachirisu was notable in that was the first electric Pokémon owned by a main character other than Ash. They replicated a lot of things about Ash with Dawn like Mamoswine not obeying (Charizard), Piplup not evolving (Bulbasaur), and her having an electric mouse Pokémon (Pikachu). It was nice to see Dawn with a couple of cute Pokémon.

pachirisus in real life would probably destroy society as we know it. i could imagine them messing around with power grids. also, Bulbapedia does mention they hang out near power plants which is pretty horrifying

DP had the most unique team change up of the main characters of all the series. From Aipom and Buizel being traded by Ash & Dawn, to Chimchar being released by Paul and captured @ episodes end by Ash. Pachirisu getting released then caught again. The way the main 3 received and lost their Mons in this Gen was definitely unique compared to others.

Buizel and Aipom wasn't a bad trade, but Dawn giving away Ambipom was one of the worst moves in the history of the anime 😅

“All right!” More of dawns Pokémon! Pachirichu was like the pikachu on dawns team since there both electric types obviously. Also I enjoyed dawn in the anime as one of ashes companions and one of my favorite female companions as well as Brock, misty, Serena, Kiawe, even goh is another icon too. Good work professor!. 😁👍

I only got into Pokémon during the time Diamond and Pearl came out, so Pachirisu was the first Pika clone I ever learned about, and it’s remained my favorite one ever since.

Pachirisu could’ve been Dawn’s first partner Pokémon because: 1. It could’ve always been saying “Chipachi” which meant Dawn’s Japanese name, Hikari. 2. It shares an electric relationship with the main mascot, Pikachu. 3. Ngl, it’s adorable 🥰

Honestly when I watched the anime back in the day I didn’t like contests, but just from the clips in this video alone I’ve gained a new appreciation for them based on how creative and cool some of the move combos/visuals were

I guess you will finish all the Pikaclones (Mimikyu doesn't count sad as it isn't Electric type) then! Good video! Waiting forward to Ash's Unfezant (universally hated bird) or Bayleef (underdog of Johto saga, I call it). Or Buizel, ooh I forgot!

As you mentioned near the end, Pachirisu was both the first electric Pokemon, besides Pikachu, to join the main cast and the first one to be released and re-captured. Until watching this, I'd never realized either of those before, but, yeah, that sounds about right.

Literally a year before pachirisu was used in that winning team for tournament I called it. I was randomly watch an episode of DP and I said wow that thing would be OP.

Oh Dawn’s Pachirisu, I remember that one. Back when she first caught it, she thought she couldn’t handle it at first but came back for it after saving it from Team Rocket. At its first contest, it was skittish but thanks to the poffin, Dawn was able to calm it down. Dawn did combinations with Pachirisu and Mamoswine, does the sparking ice ball ring a bell to anybody? It was enough to beat her stuck up rival Ursula. Ursula was the rival that owned the Pokémon: Gabite, Plusle, Minun and those two eevee she did a double evolution with. The moves that Pachirisu used was Spark, super fang, sweet kiss and discharge.

Reminds me of ash and Pikachu first meeting and how ash was willing to leave Pikachu with all those other Pikachu. I would have like to see how ash would have faired in one of those to get a ribbon. I really want you to do a class about wobbuffet

My Raichu, Zappy loved this video for the fact Dawn's Pachirisu is an Electric type. I'll keep you updated on Zappy's Level, CP, and final move set in Pokemon: Let's Go Eevee.
