Even as a kid I thought the Guild was so awful. The way they punish you with no letting you eat because you failed at something (after you went through the pretty awful ordeal of getting robbed) AND how lesser members feel like they have to HIDE that they gave you food, how the Guild takes 90% of your income, how we're supposed to baby Wigglytuffs perfect apple habit and treat it like its "cute" that he'll throw a fit if he doesnt get it... this place is ALL red flags. We're better off at Sharpedo Bluff.

@@wikiuser92 Well the Wiiware titles are officially PMD3, they just never released outside of Japan. I played SPMD for a while and it was nice, but the enitre Partner System rubbed me the wrong way. I liked that those Pokemon actually had shit to do and sometimes just werenr avaible but they were just far to strong for my taste. U get monsters like Sylveon to early. I never finished it, i think i ended sometime after the Fake Giratina Arc

Saw this in my recommended and clicked. Smant says that this is apparently the best mystery dungeon game and I remembered that I got a mystery dungeon game when I was little but for some reason I never played it and it turns out to be this exact one! I just found it in my closet and now I’m gonna wait to watch this vod until I play through it. Will report back with my thoughts and reaction to my first time playing it

Fun fact about Wigglytuff and the cult thing- there's a romhack called explorers of pain where literally the guild characters are reflavored as part of a demonic cult. It's really edgy but I found it fun!

3:33:20 not a particularly bad point. IVs, for example, were intended to never be shown, as they were an attempt to make Pokémon feel like real creatures with genes and abnormalities. Now that they’re shown and easily-manipulated, competitive Pokémon (or a faction of it) is mainly about making all those numbers the best ones before the battle even starts.

His point is that the game doesnt feel natrual anymore since every fuckn pokemon has a set META value and you dont see any UNIQUE pokemon, a Sumpex in comp for ex has always the x x x x stat. but such a comment from you shows your bad personalety anyway. you could have just said nothing and it would be eqv to your writtn comment.

God watching this makes me realize just how much quality of life fixes went into the Red/Blue remakes for the switch. If you have a mission to deliver an item, it will now be on the floor where the recipient waits. Using an escape orb now counts as a sucessful dungeon. I will probably find more in the 3h left to watch

funny enough as a kid I was absolutely terrified of drowzee as a pokemon because of this game. Learning later the Hypno stories later on didn't help. idk why but thw moment you bump into drowzee and get the vision left such a strong impression on me that I still get a bit wary when i listen to the music (both the happy and the scary onesheard at the scene)

i think i was very innocent as a kid and loved pokemon way too much so seeing these kind of darker terms were a big thing to me. I had various nightmares over Drowzee or even the first scene about Grovile running through the forest in a black shilouette

@@color_of_twilight Nice to know I wasn't the only sensitive child to games. Lavender Town and EVERY boo lvl in Super Mario Bros gave me terrible anxious/eerie feelings. Music leaves a huge impression even if it isn't noticed at first....I even stopped playing Super Mario World as a kid because the jump scare death sound when he would die and fall down gave me issues so much I couldn't lie down for nap time.

I was waiting in expectation to see him fail vs the cabuto because outlaw missions aer so hard in this game but it was amazing how he handled these. As for postgame i really hope he digs into it because It's a big chunk of the story really despite being somewhat distinct as a reference to the main. I just love these games and honestly by the end would hope he finds even the special episodes endearing as lore

I watched the vod of this. Biggest disappointment was the Twitch chat telling Smallant NOT to check out the other games after he finished, and barely admitting they existed. Left a bad taste in my mouth for weeks. Gosh, that Sandshrew though XD

@@Mut4ntG4m3r super mystery dungeon for the 3ds was pretty competent tbh. Over the top story which made it hilarious, maybe just a bit easy and too long for completion (but other mystery dungeon, games are way worse with completion)

@@Mut4ntG4m3rI’d say Super Mystery Dungeon is a really good game. The story doesn’t hit that hard, but the gameplay was refined to be a lot better in my opinion. You actually have more control over how your party members act which makes you feel like an actual team instead of you babysitting a bunch of Pokémon that can only have one thought in their head at a time. I don’t know why people can’t admit that they don’t like Mystery Dungeon games and just liked Explorers because the story was so good.

@@Natedog15000 i think the Story is a Major Part in what Made smd so Special - the mechanics were great in super indeed, but what for? Without good Story there is No reason to Go Out and Battle or Farm. Thats why there is No good/Well Sold mystery Dungeon clone Out there. The gameplay alone isnt worth it

Expolorers of sky is the not just the best one, its the quintisential explorers game in the same way ultra sun and ultra moon are the quintisential pokemon games. No game in the series after has access to all past pokemon, no game after has access to all past games gimmicks.

Something that Explorers lacked which made me sad, and I don’t know if Super has it because I could get past the beginning, is biomes you can visit for your friends. I know it limits how many friends you can have but it was so cool visiting them.

This game is so fun. Bulbasaur and Treeko were my favorite so I retook the quiz until I got one of the two (second or third try) and got Treeko and when I found the story I always made sure to play as Treeko. Not going further right now. I hope you enjoy.

I hate the chat everytime smant plays a game he hasn't played before. So much backseating, immediately telling him gameplay stuff out of the gate, instead of letting him explore it himself. As well as people just casually discussing endgame boses and postgame stuff. I know why i really don't watch the streams live.

With a roommate in Allentown pa my half is 800. The apartment before was 950 a month

$300 for rent is upsetting ngl. I live with 4 other ppl in Boston (not even like downtown either, its about a 30ish+ min train ride to get to downtown) and I pay like $1000 for my share and that's before electric, gas, internet... plus I also own a car (luckily don't have to pay for a spot which is VERY uncommon in Boston) so that's another $200... Oh and I also have $1200 in loan payments a month... man :( and come August my rent is gonna jump up to about $1200. I do alright in terms of making money, like I'd even say I'm but still about 70% of my income is written off before it enters my bank account lol. Love it here :)
