WolfeyVGC and other Pokemon VGC Cheaters already make it impossible to compete but this is the end of competitive Pokemon. Play Pokemon / Pokemon VGC / and Competitive Pokemon is more pay to win than ever (and it has nothing to do with the games or Pokemon legality). If you can't compete in 3 Pokemon international championships there's no way you are going to Pokemon worlds now. Pokemon championship point system has always been broken but this is beyond horrible.

I kinda think it’s worth knowing how much they made it easier, I kinda think they’ll never put a price on legitimacy, I personally think never worth cheating I prefer to sink my time in the game and have something to do , it’ll just be Pokémon showdown otherwise and the thought of being less productive makes me feel more anxiety, so I like it legimate (and I dk why i have turn to cheating if I can do legitimate just fine)

@@pokemonmaniacSLR just mean in the sense that if getting the Pokémon the way the game developers intended, and not counter to basic morals, then all that work would have placed me in an important spot in the community and perhaps also competitively. But since no one can trust anyone then it's a mess

I agree with rewarding players who do well at big events, but the points system seems broken in several spots. I don't get why there aren't auto-invites for people who do well at those big number events... You win or take top 4 in one and still have to be fishing for points traveling around? Considering the variance of these games, shouldn't 1 win or like 2 very high level scores be enough for an invite? Then leave the other invites for a mix of regionalized competitions and overall season results (which is where a point system is actually fine). The way it is now, they put literally everyone in this point-grinding event-travelling hell and it just doesn't look good.

5:25 This is the problem for me! I was #1 of the US for 2016 global challenge and 2024 globlal challenge 1. I battled each and every meta mon teams with different movesets and items in a B01. Just to get lousy points. While other regions get immediate invitation! My parents are sick, so it is risky to drive to regionals that is far away.

@@Verlisify yea Ik, I just can’t believe how backwards they went with the whole changes. They spent the last 26 years marketing the franchise as being accessible to the regular joe and that anyone has a shot at being the best, the cartoon they made about the girl making the world championships encourages people to just do well in their local areas to make worlds.

When you have a format with mythical Pokémon, the Pokémon can be bad in certain scenarios. The mythical Pokémon format can usually happen until the next Pokémon game.
