Your quite welcome. mine works well for me. I'm getting up there in years and dumping a full bed of Firewood was getting to be a bit much. I hope yours works out as well. Thanks for the kind comment

As an afterthought the Retracted Dimensions are pretty Critical but if you can find an actuator with the same retracted but up to 2" longer stroke it will work fine.

Do you think 16.8 inch retracted will work

Thank you. I think you just save me a great deal of trouble. Appreciate you sharing.

Your quite welcome, if you noticed the post below, you can use an actuator up to 2" longer but the retracted length is critical.

Nice... How much weight will that actuator lift?

I was looking at actuators but polaris wants hundreds of dollars you did it on the cheap that is awesome I would like to get one at that price point. Did you have to buy the switch and wiring or did it come with that? In any case nice job sir!!!!! Its so cool!

msgt1942 You can go to Utube -- Linear Actuator 12v and if you find one with those dimensions and at least 200 LBS pulling power you should be in fine shape... The switch Is a Micro sw. on, off, on just like in the drawing. The wire was an old 2 wire extension cord from our Christmas lights. My actuator only pulled 8 amps so a 10 amp inline fuse works just fine. Once again thanks for the kind words, and thank you for your service.

Nice set up!!!! who did you buy it from on ebay also how did you bypass the lock when closed or bed is down. it locks right? and you unlock when you lift the handles on either side of the bed. Im sure you dont need it to lock anymore but how did you do that.

msgt1942 I bought it over three years ago on ebay and they don't keep purchase listings back that far. I looked and would be guessing in the dark as to who I bought it from. If you would like I will try and read the info off the label on the actuator. Thank you for the kind words, and interest.

SmokymntnEd It is interesting you asked about the actuator arm. I wondered if it was going to be a problem. It turned out not to be. for some reason it does not lock and therefore doesn't need to be released. I'm afraid it's one of those " I dunno"

SmokymntnEd The Linear Actuator Has ":China part Number 715cx-e081128" nothing comes up on that number on Ebay or Google. The reason the Bed does not need released is the Linear Actuator stops it approx. 1/2" short of completely down and locked. This is no problem

@@SmokymntnEd do you recall the specs on the actuator, size close, max ext.. etc. Know it has been awhile.

@@CarlMims Carl, the critical measurement is Retracted, that being 16"...Extended it can Be anywhere from 24" to 26"..I hope this answered your Question.

electric dump for a 2011 Polaris 800 need a price

Karen, I don't know if those dimensions work on a 2011 but, here is where I bought the parts, and prices Linear Actuator 12 Volts, 10 Amp. Off of E-bay for $52.00, it's Chinese but has been working for 3 years. 3 position Switch, roll of Automotive Wire, 10 Amp fuse and holder, all from Amazon, for less than $10:00.The only critical part is the Actuator Dimensions. 16 Inches Retracted, up to 26 Inches extended. The Video will show that the installation is very simple...I hope that helps!

My Ranger doesn’t have those brackets. I’m assuming you had power dump before and those connecting brackets were there?
