Been looking at adding the grease fittings to my 04 Sportsman 700, my brother-in-law's 0'02 Sportsman 500 came with grease zerks from the factory. No clue as to why they would remove them... guess they saved a few dollars?? I looked at the OEM grease zerks and they average about $3-4.00 each, and never could find any specs on them. Glad to know the 1/4-28 zerks fit w/o any issue, because I can find those all day long for a lot cheaper than OEM. Did you use zerks with straight or NPT threads?
