I noticed that, even though the gun was very rusted and very old and if it was loaded the ammo wouldnt fire. But you still respected gun safety and didn’t look down the barrel. Respect!

They are going to toss it in a box and dump it after whatever time has passed. Unless they can get a clear serial number there ain't much a local police department can do with it aside from using it to hold down loose papers. No way they are going to get fingerprints or anything like that.

Even with a serial number really means nothing, as they could only trace it to the original buyer through a FFL. And people sell guns all the time through private sales that are untraceable. And any Ballistics are useless as wear and rust alters them. Better off cleaning it up a little and sell it at a gun buyback progeam...

Somebody probably already mentioned this about the sawed-off firearm. I can see the charging handle (right side) and it may be a .30 caliber (I couldn't get a clear view of the muzzle). If a shotgun, it could be a .410. Either way, cutting it down is illegal in most places and the odds are that it wasn't being used for legal reasons.....

Not a shotgun...not bolt-action. That was a semi-automatic rifle...the "sawed off" stock is just for concealment. It was likely a 22cal...also, semi-automatic means you get one shot per one trigger pull.

Riffle barrel length has to be 16" to be legal, shot gun 18" with an overall length of 26" on both. You're not getting that back with out filing some paper work with the ATF. iirc .22lr can be 12" barrel and 24" overall.

That's what I was thinking. Unless personal info was taken, the gun is gone... unless it shows up in the crime section of the news. Even if the gun could be restored, it probably has no serial number.

That's an epic gun, I've only ever seen small guns before. But I like him looking at the bikes. "Those were probably stolen." Not, yeah, we should clean them up and see if they belong to someone. I suppose though, once they've been underwater for too long there's no point giving them back to people.😂

Down in Louisiana, my homestate, we call crayfish Crawfish. We wait for them to grow and then crawfish farmers sell them. We boil them with potatoes, sausage corn..That is some good eating!

5:03 An ultrasonic cleaner, hot water, and simple green will be your best bet to clean it up. Ultrasonic cleaner with the heat function works wonders. Love your channel man! 😎

That rifle looks to either be a Remington 22 or a Mossberg 22. It's a semi-auto rifle, not a bolt action. Awesome find. Most likely though, they will not be able to trace it back with ballistics. It's to rusted. I hope you can get it back and clean it up.

I believe the object at 10:02 is a "Chain Breaker." Like for cutting a bicycle or motorcycle chain to length. I have a similar one. It just pushes the pin out of a roller. Doesn't really "break" anything. But then it might be a ground wire clamp.

Fisher, most of the time when wepons are found, like you just did, they do run a check to see if they are registered if serial numbers are found, if not they will be destroyed.

that clamp is what they used to hold down the old style aluminum camper shells on the bed of a pickup usually used six of them ,that is what it looks like
