You can see in the video the kid was holding the gun after being tackled to the ground, and that gun wasn't far from the officer's face. The other officer shot to protect the officer who was on the ground with the kid. The family and their son are 100% responsible for this incident. Why didn't his family know he was using a fake gun and robbing people? They are supposed to be his parents. The police are not at fault.
