When i was a teenager, I went to the Texas State Fair with some friends. All of the police officers that were working security at the fair were wearing little pig noses over their real noses. They were all laughing and having a good time. That humor worked too, as I saw two of them approach a drunk fellow who was getting a bit belligerent. He turned to the cops looking angry, but when he saw the noses, he doubled over laughing and they escorted him away without incident. Neat stuff and a good time.

I remember a few years back on the news some British cops were caught having fun and tobogganing with some local kids. People were up in arms about it and slagging them off "should be working not piss arsing around". The poor cops even got a reprimand. So much for 'community sprit'.

You can rip on me all you want, but I love and respect our police officers. They risk their lives like the military does daily. It’s good to have some fun on the job, but not too much. I try even in a factory to have some form of entertainment and fun. I’m also autistic by the way. Even if you hate police officers or autistic people, mind over matter. Agent 47 I’m with you Agent. Every town, just like every job, or school has a bad guy. But my experience since I was very young, is 99% of the police are goods guys and gals... I respect and appreciate them immensely, as you say, just like our military, they are our hero’s. You can rip me too, lol. But my moto is let the haters hate, and be miserable, I prefer the loving and being happy

I almost became a cop but the pay was lousy compared to what I could make otherwise. But a lot of the guys in my Army Guard unit were cops and generally excellent people (there were a few douchebags, but there are douchebags in any unit, organization, or profession). They really aren't any different from anyone else, they just have a weird job. And a lot of cops really, really wish the public would like them more. But the worst part of the job for them is having to haul someone into jail for something petty, because the law says they have to, when they would rather be out there finding actual bad guys, which is what they do feel strongly about. Oh, and the doughnut thing is real, but cmon, who doesn't like doughnuts?

4:13 A few months ago in Brussels, while helping my sister move to her new appartment, we had to call the police because a car was parked on the reserved spot for the moving truck. Two officers arrived and one of them was a lady wearing the exact same pink handcuffs. She told me they can order personnalized handcuffs online from the official police equipment supplier. I thought about asking her if they had a version for "adult bedroom games" but I didn't have the balls... ^^

I was transported from the branch jail, in my county, to the courthouse in cuffs that the deputy said he spray painted pink.. so, there’s that... also, I bought a pair of pink, law enforcement grade, cuffs at our local flea market in Daytona and they actually came that way. So, you can probably get them however you’d like.. but a lot of deputies (at least the ones where I live, that I’ve spoken to about it..) have said that they wouldn’t pay the extra money to get cuffs that are colored because their silver ones are free (I believe), and they work just fine, and because they would just get mixed up with other deputies cuffs, anyway, because when they cuff someone, they may have to end up handing them over to an inmate transport car/van, then they’ve lost those cuffs to that other deputy, until they see them again, etc., and they’ve just spent that extra bit of money on those colored cuffs..? That would suck.. lol. Still wouldn’t be as bad as being the person wearing the cuffs... but, eh.. 🤷🏼‍♀️ what’s the saying; “don’t do the crime if ya can’t do the time..”?

Why is it a problem if we do BOTH? As with all people in all professions, we should honor, praise, and reward those who go above and beyond their duty out of dedication and a sense of service, but we must also call out and punish the *minority* who abuse their positions. Do you think that good cops really want dangerously incompetent, power-hungry, and dirty cops out there getting a pass and a blind eye turned? The few bad apples interfere with the important work police do, and damage the reputation of law enforcement as a whole. Good cops welcome being held to a high moral standard - they don't fear it.

I got pulled over ... cop walks up and asks me "know why I pulled you over"? I was like yup ... how fast I passed that car back there. He said "that car was me". I said ... did you see my license plate? It reads DITZY. Cop laughed ... gave me a regular speeding ticket instead of a reckless speeding. 70 in a 55. In my defense.. these little 2 lane back roads with limited passing suck. He was in an unmarked car... DITZY not dumb I'd never have passed a marked cop car like that. Be truthful if you've done something wrong and you know it.. . Make a cop laugh and they'll cut you some slack.

One of the best memories I have with cops is that back in my days we had arcades to play videogames and I remember we had a “The King of Fighters 97’ Tournament” and suddenly two cops joined and one of them made it to semifinals. The cop actually played awesome but lost to the guy that knows every fighter’s combo.

Had a call from the police to catch a snake in somebody's house. The big burly officer wouldn't even enter the house, or get out of the car when it was the release. His petite female trainee couldn't be more helpful, holding the torch, opening doors, taking pics etc. Very funny situation. Cops are just people doing a fantastic job, putting it all on the line for the public. RESPECT
