It could hit 7k rpm but holding it there would destroy the engine or transmission and possibly the valve train as well. It would be pointless to do so and going 160 on the freeway/highway would be stupid as well putting no only your dumbass self, but all the others including little kids and 90 year old soon to be great great grandparents and could ruin there lives as well. Anyways, it was supposed to be taken as a joke but seriously as well because you might think its fun until you do something drastic that could altar your life. I knew this man for a while and he used to drive overnight to transport stuff for a local company and he was traveling late one night (like 4 in the morning no sleep) and he started to drift away and smashed head first into oncoming traffic. He kill 2 of the four people in the car(both the parents of two little kids who were in the back). knowing that he had ruined there lives for ever, about 3 years later he had commit suicide because he could not live with himself knowing the kids will never see there parents again. So all I can say from that is drive safe and if you ever wonder why your parents do not want you to text and drive or not speed, that is why. Not because the police will get you and give you a couple hundred dollar fine that they would have to pay(well that is part of it). Anyways, don't be an idiot and drive safe.

At 4:21 that's actually dangerous. If you go over 60mph, or over 2,000 RPM (I keep mine about 2,500 to 3,000) then he might end up going faster than he thought or revving more than he thought and crashing the car or getting pulled over. You call that an overprotective father? More like an "overprotective" father.
