I have literally seen 100s of reactions to this song, which I’ve been listening since the 1970s when it came out, and I still get chills every single time I hear the song. What a beautiful song. And to reiterate what was said below, it is definitely wonderful when today’s younger generation can appreciate a song this great. Actual vocals, with great melody and no auto-tune and recorded in front of a live band.

That signature "falsetto" voice high pitch, was a trade Mark for Bee Gee's unique approach between 1976/1979, and this particular song was donated to a Unicef Children Benefit, at ONU`s main reunion room in a concert held in January 1979, in the Child International Year ONU's celebration. Featured in the stunning 1979 album titled "Spirits Having Flown", a must to listen killer musical classic album. Love your genuine and lovely reaction, and of course I`ll join to the comments about to give thanks to all young women to appreciate this tunes, recorded and released in the last 50 years. Ther`s no way to get wrong with any Bee Gee`s compositions.

Kathy here - just found your channel. 3 brothers, one mic and no auto tune! This music will never be duplicated ever again. These 3 brothers started singing together when the twins were 3 years old, and Barry was 5. And I love to see today's generation discovering the music I grew up with. You have no clue to as to the music the younger people are now lucky enough to discover it. I'm 68 years old, and while some of the music out there today is ok, it will never compare to the music I was lucky enough to grow up with. And your reaction to the first time Barry came in with his solo, well, they says it all! If you want to see another great song by the Bee Gees, but sang by Keith Urban, on a night of Tribute to the Bee Gees. He did To Love Somebody, with Barry and his wife of over 50 years sitting in the audience. Keith Urban is a country singer, however, in this one, he does it justice. And Keith Urban can riff on a guitar like no body's business! I highly suggest you check it out. Thanks for your reaction today!

Figured you had to be seventy to mention auto tune.
@user-ux5lk6hl3u7 ай бұрын
@@waynebryant1857 Well, I will be 69 in February. But the reason I mentioned no auto tune is because I was in a band for 15 years, until I was forty, and pregnant with my second child. So, I retired from the band in 1994. All the "tricks" of the trade had started hitting the music industry really hard, back in the 80's - reverb for the singers, auto-tune - all the stuff that I absolutely hated. If I couldn't sing a song without the aid of some machine to make me sound better, then I would know it was time to retire. None of my band mates used anything to alter our voices or the music. I guess we were pretty good, since we were asked to play on the weekends for a new nightclub that was opening, and they had not found the right sound for their house band. So, we came in, played the 4 weeks, and stayed the next 15 years. We didn't strive to play in arenas, because we all had regular jobs we loved. I was an investigator for police departments. I retired from that when I was 48. Worked that job for close to 30 years. But remember this, at 68 years old, and a grandmother of 5, my generations of girls wore mini shirt, gogo boots, no bra and bell bottom jeans. So, picture your grandmother when she was younger. LOL

Man in the middle is Barry Gibb with his late brothers, Robin Gibb on his right and Maurice Gibb on his left. Sadly, both of them died (Maurice in 2003) and (Robin in 2012). Brothers had their youngest brother as Barry calls him as younger twin, Andy Gibb. Andy left us too soon in 1988 at the age of 30. Barry at 77 still tours with his eldest son, Steve Gibb playing guitar.
