Robbie's (Oliver Robbins) mouth full of metal turns evil as his braces come alive and start to attack his body.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
One of the more effectively spooky and financially successful horror films of the '80s got an inevitable sequel with this effects-heavy installment. The Freeling family is trying to grapple with the devastation wrought by the ghosts and ghouls that destroyed their lives. The insurance company doesn't believe their story about what happened to their house, so Steve (Craig T. Nelson), Diane (JoBeth Williams), and their kids, Carol Anne (Heather O'Rourke) and Robbie (Oliver Robins), have been reduced to living in the home of Diane's mother, Jess (Geraldine Fitzgerald). Unfortunately for the Freelings, however, their new residence, just like their last, is situated on a haunted patch of unholy ground. A century before, the mad cult leader Kane (Julian Beck) slaughtered his followers nearby, and his evil spirit has returned in an effort to kidnap Carol Anne. When the Freelings realize what's happening, they call upon the psychic medium Tangina Barrons (Zelda Rubinstein) to help them again, and they also receive aid from a kindly Native American spiritualist, Taylor (Will Sampson). Noticeably absent from the sequel was older daughter Dana, who had been played by actress Dominique Dunne; Dunne was killed in 1982 by her obsessed boyfriend.

Trinity, that's cool. I got Invisalign to fix an open bite. Best decision ever. I asked if having metal braces would make the process go faster but the orthodontist said that for my fix Invisalign and metal braces would take the same amount of time, so I chose Invisalign. Some people's fixes are way faster with metal braces, plus Invisalign is a total pain when you're going out to eat with friends and on dates and stuff, so I'm kind of torn on which style is better.

I was 7 when this movie came out And I forced my dad to take me to see it skipping my Best friend's birthday party. Although I wasn't too terrified by it years later when the orthodontist recommended that I get braces I literally jumped up in stormed out of his office. Lol

Taylor had a point,had he not have been there to hold and protect Carol Anne while they were busy trying to save Robbie Carol Anne would've vanished just like in the previous film.They should all be greatful to Taylor for staying with them and Steven just chews Taylor out, Steven owes Taylor an apology.

Taylor was right you know. All that was was a distraction so Kane could more easily abduct her just like in the first film when Robbie was getting eaten by the tree. I mean how else can you explain how they got Robbie out of both situations so easily.

I love the practical effects in this movie, but watching it years later, I think the reason this scene comes off silly is it is _too well-lit._ The full view of the actor in the wire suit is almost comical. You hear the soundtrack going crazy but the lighting design doesn't back it up - the original had amazing practical and post lighting with smoke and strobes and watery flashes that gave the effects energy and mystery. If the bathroom lights blew out right at the beginning when you see wires starting to escape his mouth and the rest of the scene took place in furious strobing darkness with just brief flashes of the wires wrapping his skin and taking over the bathroom (almost like in THE THING) and his parents trying to help but unable to see _what exactly the hell is happening,_ it would be nightmarish.

Of course Taylor would prioritize protecting Carol Anne. The beast is literally using the same tactic that he used in the first movie. By attacking Robbie, everybody’s going to run to him and leave Carol Anne exposed so he can take her. It’s amazing how they didn’t figure that out.
