The best comparison of these devices that I've seen anywhere. Of those two, I've ordered the Poly. The main reason being that I already have a Poly headset from work. That headset came with the USB-C version of the BT600 dongle. But that dongle is long and bulky, thus I prefer not to have it connected to the computer at all as I feel that in even the slightest accident, the dongle might break and/or damage the USB-C port. Not to mention that on one of my two desks at home, I need both the Thunderbolt and the USB-C port to run 3 external monitors. The problem with connecting the headset via Bluetooth without the dongle is that the microphone's recording quality fluctuates badly, and at times, people on the other end can't understand me at all. So what I ordered was the newer version of the Poly Sync 20+, which already comes with the USB-A version of the much smaller BT700 dongle (smaller even compared to the USB-A version of the BT600 dongle). This way, I expect to keep the dongle plugged in at all times, and I'll be able to easily switch between the headset and the speakerphone. The other reasons why I went for the Poly were the much nicer design, its capabilities as a speaker for music and video payback, the better battery life, the nicer travel bag, and the powerbank feature. I do expect them to have eliminated some of the bugs through firmware updates, but I'll only be able to tell once I receive it.

I just got Poly Sync20 today. Sound during MS Team meeting is so amazing. Sound is very clear and I dont need to shout or speak closely to speaker.

Have to say, whilst your review is very good, when I received my Jabra 510, the case included a neat little clear plastic fronted pocket in which to store the USB bluetooth adapter.

Does the Jabra end the call well with Zoom, Teams and other softwares? Thank you so much for your time and effort in this amazing test. 🙏

I just tested the Jabra and the Poly on both my PC and Mac. The hang up button does not work to end the meeting. I then tested a call via Zoom Phone and I was able to answer the call by pressing the green call button, but I was not able to hang up using the red call button. I'm thinking this is a bug because it seems odd it would work to answer but not hang up.

Thanks for the review. What I am missing is a demonstration of the full duplex mode. That could a reisonderdelen to choose for the poly. What is your opinion?

Both should do full-duplex fine, I'm not sure how to really test or measure that performance so I can't comment which would perform better in that regard. The Poly has additional mics, but they are positioned closer to the speaker where as the Jabra only has a single mic but it's positioned with more separation, so it's really hard to say.

@@MrAtlantis95 That video is interesting. I can hear the difference, but I'm not able to confirm he is right. The only places I'm seeing that it's not full duplex is that video and on the website of his company. Jabra's spec sheet does not clarify if it's full or half duplex. I searched Amazon's 4000+ reviews of the Speak 510 and found only one review saying it was half duplex (probably from that same guy) all the other reviews said it's full duplex and works fine. So I would take that guys review with a grain a salt...he is probably just trying to convince everyone to buy the more expensive model. If you're worried, go with the Poly Sync 20 as that one is definitely full duplex since it's listed on the spec sheet.

While using poly , can we also record the call on the phone on which the poly is connected via bluetooth. Currently, i am using an external recorder Zoom H1 to recorder the phone calls by turning the speaker phone on and placing it next to the recorder.

I'm not aware of any Bluetooth speakerphone devices with built in recording capabilities, but one of these devices would give you better audio quality compared to the phone's built in speaker. Alternatively, you could use a VoIP service like Zoom Phone and record the call directly and that would give you best quality without having to use your hand held recorder.

I teach online, and I've had numerous complaints about the audio quality that my students receive, to the point that I've lost some clients because of its poor audio quality. I wish I had never bought it.
