Although these speakerphones are decent for music or movies, their first priority is for voice communication. So, if you don't plan to mainly use a speakerphone for calls and meetings, you'd want to consider a different option made for music like a Logitech speaker amzn.to/40NWegd

I bought the Poly and hated the very low bass. Often made it very difficult to hear voices clearly. In the end went with a Jabra 710 (similar price) and it is miles clearer and better for voices.

Agree. I have both and the boomy sound is very annoying on the Poly. I'm shocked that it's as bad as it is for a company like Poly. Without some sort of sound equalization for me it's pretty much unusable as a speakerphone. I really want this to be better than the (much) older 510 but it just isn't.

Hey @headsetadvisor⁠ , please help me choose a good speakerphone for calls/VCs etc for professional purpose . I am currently using Zabra an old model (wired usb) very effective with Ms team etc . Thinking of changing it with something new and better. I have budget of $300 .No intention to use it for music etc. my room is 15x12ft and want to be able to walk while talking .after watching this video I am already liking Poly but need your professional advice !

Will the quality of the calls made via speakers be equivalent to the calls made via headphones ?

Hi Pooja, that's a tough one to answer as a speakerphone and headphones will be a very different experience. The sound quality of the speakerphonees will sound good though for calls.

Headphone will always be better. Speakerphone gives you the comfort.

Thank you for video! But please never test audio quality over BT. Even modern BT do not have enough bandweight to carry both input and output, especially the old 3.0. Also you should never test speakerphone with drum&base. Speech is very different from music and good VoIP hardware incorporate DSP to filter out non-speech sounds.

Both supposedly are, but the 510 does not appear to be as good in full duplex mode as the Poly. I'm looking for the best FD performance for conf calls so I'm eagerly trying to evaluate that too. I have both, but in addition to the horribly boomy sound on the Poly, I have nonstop driver issues with it, so I have stuck with the 510.

Jabra's mic is a bit louder, in terms of quality I think they are the same. For speaker, poly is superior.

I just buy the poly after seeing your revies Poly Sync 20 vs Epos Expand SP30 Wireless Bluetooth Speakerphone SHOWDOWN - MIC & SPEAKER TEST! Update from the new test I try today.........I try with 30 cm 60 cm 100 cm distance the sound has no different at all. I already try to install on the front side of speaker and the side of the speaker, very low different, no significant at all. The voice is very clear no muffy, (even less muffy than it's brother Voyager focus but not as clear as Focus (sure...can not compare headset with speaker) After try today, I am very happy to use it. In my previous test the result is completely different compare to today. Today is excellent and make me confident to join the meeting with the speaker. Today I use it whole day from 8.00 a.m. till 5.00 p.m. with zero complaint. Very happy to use this because you have more freedom in the meeting. No need to concentrate like when you use the headset. Feel better more when proof that the different distance have no significant to sound quality. Very happy to use today. (PC specification: connect with BT600 dongle on USB 3.0 port)
