This polymer clay pendant project is part two of the Kelp and Bubbles earring project. In this second part we will be using the mod cane we made in part one to create a beautifully, eye-catching pendant with a hammered wire insert. This tutorial includes lots of information on burnishing, joining seams and using Ice Resin. I love how this pendant came out. I hope you enjoy making it.

Beautiful ! Also what is good to burnish and see through at the same time is a recycled cereal bag from inside the cereal box...just clarifying because they sell cereal in just bags also but a different material.

How do you get a clean slice without smooshing the cane?

Put the cane in the freezer for a few minutes and this should firm it up enough for you to make a clean slice.

Just out of curiosity, as I do have a heck of a time trying to do your smear, would painting black liquid clay work instead of the smear?

Yes. You can use liquid clay in replacement for the black clay.
