We will be making some gorgeous African inspired, reversible earrings and some lovely cabochons which will be buffed to a perfect shine. I'll be giving lots of sanding and buffing tips in this video to help you get the best shine from your clay, so be sure to watch all the way through.

Wow Samantha, these are really beautiful. And what a great idea to combine the different types of tiger eye into one project, I never would have thought to do that! I'm not usually a huge fan of faux stones but I really do love these earrings, and the donuts are the perfect shapes for them. You always come up with the best & most creative ideas. My question is about the cabochons- I have one of your cab molds, the one that reminds me of your dangle cutters, like a chunky upside down triangle. I think it's very cute but I don't actually know what to do with it once I've made something in there. When you said you were making cabs w/ your molds I was looking forward to seeing how you finished them off but, understandably so, just the earrings were thoroughly finished, so I'm still not sure. I've just been inserting a little screw eye into one of the upper corners, or near it, and hanging it that way, but it seems kind of unfinished to me. I would love to see how you finish them off one of these days. So I guess that wasn't so much a question as it was a request😁. But anyway, this was another great tutorial, thank you

Cabochons are great if wrapped with wire (like real stones), you can set them in polymer clay bezels, bracelets, collars. I need to do a tutorial on what to use cabochons with.

I love your work. Just a little suggestion, I fund it easier to fill the molds first with the scrap clay, then fit the veneer over it. That way also it has less distortion when talking it out the mold.

Thank you for the tutorial! I am planning this as my 1st project. Since I am new to this, I may just be unaware of the color recipe amounts. Could you be a bit more specific on how I will measure? I saw a previous comment mentioning a square cutter, but not really sure where to start. I appreciate any help!! Thanks 😊

Hi Samantha, can I ask, to make a pair each of these two earrings, how much of each colour would I need? You colour recipe shows 9 different 'colours' that you have beautifully created, but I was wondering if I was to purchase the 6 colours of Premo clay you mentioned, how many blocks of each would I need for this project? The Gold Tiger Eye colour recipe showed 6 different colours too. Could you please include how many of each of these I would need too? Thank you! I think I will sign up to become a patron, but I wanted to try to buy everything first! Thank you! Loving all your amazing tutorials and feeling very inspired!

I remember seeing something and I think its the amount of squares using a square cutter. So I think for example, 20 translucent may be 20 squares of translucent.
