In this polymer clay earring tutorial I'll show you a really cool liquid clay twist on a Sutton Slice, which we will use to create two beautiful modern steampunk earring sets.
There are lots of tips and tricks in this polymer clay tutorial. I'll give you an in depth look at partial curing using a heat gun, show you a bunch of different things you can use 99% alcohol for, and much more.

Thanks for sharing this video, it's interesting, but what are you using, is that blue powder & white glue or white acrylic paint on the steam punk & what are you using is that black acrylic paint on the rubbery texture sheet?

Thank you so much for teaching your techniques, I think your designs are quite classy, the breaking of the liquid clay was inspiring. I appreciate you clear voice and clarity of instruction. You are a great communicator. Do you have an etsy shop? Thanks again I enjoyed it very much.

Loved everything. Too heavy for myself, as I like smaller smaller pieces, but I'm sure just perfect for others.

Beautiful work and lovely teaching technique. With creating the wood grain, does any colored powered work? Like eye shadow or crayon?
@Wvnursey
@Wvnursey 5 жыл бұрын
Eye shadow yes. Crayon no.
@JessamaTutorials
@JessamaTutorials 5 жыл бұрын
It's best if you use a powder pigment like mica powder, eye shadow or pastel. Crayon won't work.

Wonderful. Samantha how did you get the flat bead to stay on the 1/2 circle without it bending backwards during heating. Did you prop up the little circles while baking them on the half circles? IF so, how did you do this. Thank you.

No. You'll need a heat gun. The hair dryer wouldn't get hot enough.

It can be a little tricky to pull off, but once you've got the hang of it, it's easy to do each time.

Can you over- cure it?
@JessamaTutorials
@JessamaTutorials 4 жыл бұрын
No. I can bake my pieces for more than three hours without burning. The trick its to make sure the oven temperature is right, then you should be able to bake as long as you need. However lighter colors such as white will start to take on a yellow hue after two or more hours.
