Im 82 years old and can honestly say Travel lodges in the 50's were spotless clean and well designed. The staff were professional hosts and for the affordable price you recieved a 5 star experience. But that was in the good old days. Enjoy !

One thing the Travelodge has is prime real estate. I seriously doubt it will ever be renovated. I would say the owner of the property is just waiting for an offer from a hotel conglomerate and cashes out. All of it will be demolished, the quirky shops out in front bought out and then a big resort will go up. Pompsie earned his superchats with this one. It's not all glamour Pompsters

The only time I went to Las Vegas was when Excalibur was still the largest hotel in the nation. It was decent but probably because it was still mostly new. I was saddened to see many many videos showing that the Excalibur is a nasty dump: dusty rooms, peeling wallpaper, pure neglect everywhere. Not a single video I saw last year on that hotel looked even remotely good.

TravelLodge used to be a decent motel choice for families on a budget back in the 60s-80s. It's a shame they let the property fall into a state of disrepair. The location is excellent and super convenient. Plus you avoid crazy resort and parking fees. The laundry is also very convenient. The property just needs some TLC and minor remodeling/landscaping to return it to it's former glory. 🤔👍😀🐻

For the life of me, I don't see how they have managed to stay open all these years. When I first moved to Vegas back in the 90s, I stayed at a place called the Western Hotel. I was on Freemont, a couple of blocks down from the strip. This place was worse than the Travelodge! Ha, man, it was bad, but it got a lot of traffic because of the Freemont crowd, and it had a dive casino and restaurant. Thanks for a cool vid.

Great video and channel Pompsie! I've also stayed at Travelodge and had a completely different experience (see my review video). Many people are visiting Vegas on a buget and free breakfast, free internet, no resort fee, and central Strip location is very appealing. Plus, I loved not having to walk through a smokey casino to check into my room. I thought Travelodge was a tremendous value and would definitely stay there again. I appreciate your perspective though, you're a very talented filmmaker. Keep up the great work!

There was a Travelodge in NM that I left almost as scathing a review a few years ago. Stayed there for work and needless to say didn't stay there long.

Hi Pompsie, I really enjoyed this one. Kinda the back side of LV. I would not have stayed there either. I don't think anything would save that room. And what was up with those dancers at the end. Surely they would not be going there,. (whatever) Best wishes to you both. Stay Safe! Be Well!

I'm embarrassed to say that I had to buy an 'emergency' extra-large suitcase, as mine fell apart the day I arrived in June 2021. Funny, I bought it at the store in this video, in front of the Travel Lodge. They actually had the best selection of cheap bags on the strip!

In all lodging, I wear disposable spa slippers. I always check the bottom of the slippers at the end of my stay to check the cleanliness of the room. The budget hotel chains almost always have dirty floors and carpets.

Is Wyndham really known as a respectable name in the hotel industry? All of their properties seem to be the more ghetto, old, nasty types. Ramada, super 8, days inn, travelodge, Howard Johnson. What’s so great about these names... they are all usually roach motels 🤢

You failed to give props to the knife store next to the souvenir shop. PVK Vegas is one of the best retail knife stores both brick and mortar and online. They have a hidden showroom in the back that’s about 10x the size of the sales floor.

Good job Pompsie & Greta on this video on Vegas travel lodge! I’ve heard that that hotel is quite bad & seen how run down & nasty that place is but you guys really show the reality of how gross it is! That bed was like so disgusting! How does it stay open? I used to work in the hotel industry for 30 yrs & I couldn’t imagine working there! They should tear it down! I’ll continue to stay at my favorite place Caesar’s palace! My son likes Caesar’s too & the food at the American grill is good as welll. Thanks for doing what you do & for informing everyone on what hotels are good & bad! Have a great day!
