Mark has been running the awesome Team Associated RC10 B6.4 2wd Buggy and he has had a few problems with handling ... So it is time to dial in the setup. These cars are designed in the states and you need to make some changes to get them to run properly here in the UK.
www.cmldistribution.co.uk/pro...
NEW FEATURES
New 13mm big-bore threaded aluminum shocks and springs with machined shock pistons for improved bump and jump handling
New +3mm length aluminum chassis with 22.5 degree kick-up to complement updated front-end geometry and with new shape to reduce chassis scrub with the track surface
20deg., 22.5deg., and 25deg. molded bulkheads included for a complete range of caster and kickup options
New adjustable height steering bellcrank and rack system for optimized bumpsteer at all ride heights and caster angles
New -1mm kingpin offset steering and caster block set for smoother and more predictable steering through the entire wheel throw
New steel RC10B6.4 ESC mounting tray shifted forward in the chassis and with a wider footprint to fit electronics, resulting in a further forward weight bias
New front ballstud mount, top plate, and front wing mount to account for the kickup angle change
New chassis side rails with 3 optional fan mount locations to choose from depending on chassis length and transmission used
New cab-forward design RC10B6.4 bodyshell offered in standard (kit) and lightweight (optional) thickness
Front and rear anti-roll bars included
4mm carbon fiber front and rear shock towers with molded protective covers.

Nice video. Matches my findings tuning my old B6.3 for high grip tracks where you want the weight forwards and stiff rear with less toe, softer front suspension, with dropped inner front links -all to gain more steering and loosen up the rear. The reverse works for low grip outside Astroturf, where you want the weight back, a softer rear suspension, raised front inner links and shocks, more rear toe, and dropped inner end of rear upper links -all to gain rear grip.

Great video! I upgraded to the B6.4 from the B6.1 and was instantly blown away. The kit B6.4 carries so much more corner speed and steering than my previous B6.1 did and I'm so happy I upgraded. But I like you have been having some understeer and really bad on-power steering recently. Will try out some of these tips for sure! I built mine with the aluminum front bulkhead you showed in the video and that has also been working great for me! Cheers thanks for the tips

Great watching your journey unpacking this class of racing, going through the various aspects of setup as I did since the end of 2021! I feel like I've still got lots to learn and I imagine that journey will never stop. Waiting for the videos when you race outdoors and in the wet👀. Great video!👍

Great video, there’s nothing better than making some changes and seeing the car improve. I think a lot of people are put off asking other drivers what there set up is. But if you dont ask, you dont get 👍 like you say, not every change will be to your liking, everyone likes a car to behave a certain way 👍

You should have started by adding a +1 mm bulkhead to get more aggressive stearing. Then get vrp game changer shock pistons

Really enjoy your videos and the content. Think you guys are awesome for promoting the hobby and making it understandable and approachable. If I can make a recommendation, I think you can improve your audio quality in the videos. The video quality and editing is great, but I find the audio sounds like your speaking in a big room and echos. Keep the great content coming and looking forward to your Team Corally videos!

A few people have suggested this, is it a case of taking two of the four planetary gears out?
@johnboyrichy5452
@johnboyrichy5452 Жыл бұрын
Yeah I did the same, it gives you more rotation around the corners.

Hi, yes, remove 2 planetary gears and their metal washers. Fill the diff up to manual recommended level with 10k diff fluid. Helps with rotation of the car.

Depending on grip level, may also be worth considering a couple of willspeed parts, such as the take 2 front bulkhead to raise roll center and take one D block to give zero rear toe if needed. Also worth playing with front hub height as has a noticeable difference to initial steering when lowered.

Interesting that in the UK you guys run timing on your ESC. Here in the US it’s 17.5 stock racing, blinky mode ESC and timing only on the motor. Excellent video though! Cool to see how the tracks differ from place to place too.

When mentioning your setup be sure to say which tire and track surface you're running on as this can make a massive difference in your setup. For me on high grip indoor clay I'm running red front Springs and white rear springs, rear ball diff, aluminum front b6.3 bulkhead and a number of other changes but that will get you in the ball park.
